A loss like this should’ve never happened. Here’s why..

Fact, in 2015 Norte Dame went to Clemson, SC and played Clemson to the wire, losing 24-22. Clemson went on to finish #1 in the regular season and eventually lost a close one to Alabama 45-40 in the championship game.

In 2017, Georgia came to South Bend and again the Irish played them to the wire and lost 20-19. And Georgia goes on to play Alabama in the championship game and losses on a 4th down OT TD pass (a game GA should’ve won).

Here you have potentially two national championship teams that barely beat two Notre Dame teams that anyone would tell you weren’t nearly as good as this 2018 ND team. My point is that this loss is MENTAL! Has to be because in 2015 and 2017 the Irish proved they can play toe to toe with two teams that were as good as any of the elite teams in the country.

It also proves that the excuse about ND having less athletic talent and speed is bullshit. Frankly, Kelly is just lousy at preparing for the big game. Clemson wasn’t better because of talent, they were just better prepared and hence more confident.

Both of those teams were just 'budding' into elite teams. ND played them earlier in the year before they really started to hit their stride. And before their young elite players materialized into stars.

10-3 with Julian on the field. Three touchdowns in 2nd quarter all a direct result of his absence.

We should all be cheering for a touchdown to tie it up right now.

Hey we can evaluate all we want, but the fact is that ND simply cannot compete at the elite level. ND is irrelevant on the big stage

It's called talented depth. You guys should try to acquire a bit more.
