Interested in why Georgia is #1.
Oklahoma and Texas moving sure is a serious shift in money.

You look at how much money is in college athletics anymore and its amazing.
BUT since you are not paying your players not surprising. Which is why the Universities are fighting the play for pay movement as hard as they are.

Those claiming Notre Dame would do so much better financially joining a conference look pretty stupid.
We might make more money; but we have plenty and we have our independence.

I'd say UGA winning the NC might have something to do with it. ND was in the ACC in 2021, but fared much better than any other ACC teams, for sure.

If you stop and look at it ... since 1964, Ara's first year, up until a few years ago EVERY home ND football game was a sellout. For the past few years, not so. Why? Possibly (1) ticket prices have gone up by more than what the fans feel the performance on the field is worth; (2) TV ... why pay to go to a game if you can watch it on TV.

Considering all that has happened overall financially, for ND to "only" see a change of -22% overall and -15% for football, that is not bad (not that anyone wants to go backward). Specifically where football is concerned, I see many schools in the -25% range and up close to 50% --

Would be interesting to see the football/athletic revenue compared to each schools respective overall annual operating budget. It’s really peanuts to an elephant, especially for some of the massive enrollment state schools.
