Football Need some suggestions for hotel/Air BNB for Stanford weekend

No, I am not throwing myself out of my own house the weekend of Oct. 12. But I have really very little idea about suggestions for a game weekend accommodations beyond my guest rooms, which are already spoken for that weekend. It's the weekend of Oct. 12, and my friends are looking to stay up to an hour's drive away Friday and Saturday nights. Any suggestions as to something that might be affordable and/or a fun/good spot to spend those nights? Thanks in advance, and yes I'll gladly accept your joke responses as long as you provide some real ones as well.

Football Mike Denbrock prepares Notre Dame offense for 'hornets' nest' at Kyle Field

My notebook has items on Mike Denbrock calling Texas A&M's Kyle Field a "hornets' nest," the Irish not having a No. 1 WR yet, the work done to emphasize pre-snap motion and more.

“We're going to have to, and we've already done this, work on different cadences and snap counts and things like that to make sure we're clued in,” Denbrock said. “We're going to have to be careful about how much motion and shifting and different things we build within the game plan because you can't hear. It's hard. Communication is hard."

Football Notebook: Notre Dame's defense aims to find calm in communication

Notre Dame defensive coordinator Al Golden wants his helmet and headset communication to mimic Sully Sullenberger’s stoicism.

"We just try to keep it really quiet,” Golden said. “We try to keep it calm."
