Tuesday's game vs. Michigan State has been canceled due to inclement weather. The game may be rescheduled at a later date pending availability.

The Irish next take the field Friday at 4:30 p.m. ET vs. No. 2 Clemson to begin a three-game series at home. Admission is free, and the game will also be broadcast on ACCNX.

Aneyas Williams understands he's in line for a role this season that's much smaller than he's used to. But he's found the transition to college a little bit easier than expected.

Notre Dame football hit the practice field Wednesday before a weeklong Easter hiatus.

The practice included notable absences beyond recently injured cornerback Benjamin Morrison, who attended in his sling for his right shoulder, and quarterback Riley Leonard, who rilled in on a knee scooter with his right ankle in a boot.

Quarterback Steve Angeli and Junior Tuihalamaka missed practice due to an illness. And graduate senior defensive tackles Howard Cross III and Rylie Mills missed another Wednesday practice.

Four injured players who are out for spring - TE Kevin Bauman, DE Aiden Gobaira, DE Loghan Thomas and DT Armel Mukam - went through warmups with jerseys on before returning to "The Pit." That's where they joined running back Kedren Young (hamstring) and cornerback Isaiah Dunn.

Tight end Mitchell Evans, who is also out for spring, was an observer of practice rather than joining the rehab players. Other practice observers included incoming grad transfers Beaux Collins, a wide receiver, and Rod Heard II, a safety.

Wide receiver Deion Colzie wore red and ran through position drills without footballs thrown at him as his dislocated finger recovers from surgery. Fellow wide receiver Jayden Thomas also appeared to be limited as he went through drills last and not as his typical speed.

Notre Dame started practice with a quick 11-on-11 run through that did not include tackling.

A few other observations from the first five periods:

Love spent a lot of time working with the receivers in individual drills.

When working in nickel, Bowen at MLB and Sneed at WLB were taking some reps together during an installation period.

Leonard was still throwing the ball around while standing in a boot as the QBs loosened up during special teams work.

The special teams focus was on punt coverage. Jaden Greathouse, KK Smith, Jaden Mickey, Jadarian Price and Gi'Bran Payne were catching punts.

2026 QB target Troy Huhn was at practice with Chad Bowden at his side.

Recent Ohio State decommit and 2025 four-star wide receiver Jayvan Boggs told Rivals national recruiting analyst @John Garcia Jr. on Tuesday night the Irish are one school he's interested in moving forward.

"I was thinking about Notre Dame," he said. "I want to get up there to see them. I want to see the facilities and talk to the coaches. My dad (Brandon Boggs) played with Marcus Freeman in high school, so it could be a reunion for him."

Boggs also confirmed he plans to sign in December and enroll early at his school of choice. Georgia and UCF others mentioned.

Javeon Campbell has narrowed his focus to a top nine.

The 2025 defensive line recruit listed Florida, Ohio State, Alabama, Notre Dame, Auburn, LSU, Miami, Kentucky and Georgia as his top nine schools Monday.

The three-star recruit out of Frankfort (Ky.) Western Hills became a Notre Dame target in late January when he had only six scholarship offers prior to the Irish. Now he's up to 19 with some big programs in the mix.

Campbell got his first in-person look at Notre Dame on Feb. 1. He visited Ohio State, Georgia, Michigan, Kentucky and Auburn in March and has visits to Kentucky, Ohio State and Notre Dame lined up for April. He's also started an official visits schedule with Ohio State and Georgia in June.

Here's a story we did on Campbell last month. He had 14.5 sacks last seasom.

Safety target DJ Williams, a 2026 recruit Notre Dame offered on Pot of Gold Day, announced today that he'll be on campus. Williams also plays wide receiver at Tampa (Fla.) Carrollwood Day. His offer list includes the likes of Michigan, Florida State, Oklahoma, Texas A&M and Ole Miss.

Think it represents the field well

Marty Biagi on the long snapping competition, getting Jayden Harrison involved and Biagi's ability to help the defensive backs.

Notre Dame baseball held a 4-1 lead after the fifth inning on Saturday, but No. 22 NC State came roaring back in the later innings and pulled off a 7-6 comeback victory at home in Raleigh, NC.

Heading into the ninth inning, the score was tied at 4 apiece. The Irish broke that tie when grad student David Glancy drilled a two-run homer to left field in the top of the ninth. Glancy also hit singles in the third and fifth inning, respectively, and finished with four RBI.

However, NC State (18-7, 8-4 ACC) responded in the bottom of the ninth with a three-run walk-off homer from grad student Garrett Pennington to sweep the three-game series. The pitch came from junior right-handed pitcher Ricky Reeth, who threw 44 strikeouts and allowed four runs and five hits in 3.2 innings pitched.

Pennington also hit a homer off of Irish sophomore infielder/right-handed pitcher Rory Fox in the fifth inning. Fox received the start and also threw 44 strikeouts while giving up three runs and six hits in five innings pitched.

In addition to Glancy, senior infielder Connor Hincks and junior infielder Jack Penney each also finished with an RBI.

Notre Dame (14-12, 2-10 ACC) returns to South Bend for a matchup against Michigan State (10-14, 1-3 Big Ten) on Tuesday. The game is slated to begin at 6:30 p.m. EST.

Ksani Jiles enjoyed the intensity of Notre Dame's practice when he visited on Saturday, but the highlight of his visit came on the other side of campus.

“The highlight of my visit was going to the Grotto, praying and lighting a candle,” Jiles said. “That was something I’d never seen at any college. That was the biggest highlight of my day during the Notre Dame visit.”

Notre Dame football's top-ranked 2025 recruiting class added a verbal commitment from 2025 four-star LB Anthony Sacca on Saturday.

"I'm a big believer in [head] coach [Marcus] Freeman and his stability out there," Sacca said. "I think he can do a really good thing with the coaches he has on staff and with the recruits he's bringing in."

After a two-week hiatus, No. 1 Notre Dame men's lacrosse held on to a 14-12 victory against No. 3 Syracuse on Saturday afternoon at Arlotta Stadium. The contest served as ND's opener in ACC regular season play.

Syracuse (9-3) got on the scoreboard first with a 1-0 lead, but ND quickly responded with three consecutive goals, including two from grad student midfielder Reilly Gray.

Notre Dame's highest-scoring frame was the first when they scored six total goals. Junior midfielder Ben Ramsey, senior midfielder Eric Dobson and Pat Kavanagh (who scored twice) were responsible for other goals in that period.

The Irish outscored the Orange 7-4 in the second and third quarters. Grad student Jake Taylor scored his 23rd and 24th goals of the season, respectively, in the third frame. Taylor has scored the most goals on the Irish this season.

In addition to Taylor, freshman Jordan Faison got his offense going in the third quarter with a goal against Syracuse goalie Will Mark. Faison's 14 total goals only trail Taylor and Chris Kavanagh (17) in goals scored for ND this season. Chris, Pat's brother, scored that 17th goal in the second quarter and added a team-best two assists.

Despite ND building upon its lead, Syracuse never went away. To start the fourth frame, trailing 13-7, the Orange cut the lead to three after scoring three goals all before the 12-minute mark.

With 6:45 left, Dobson scored a pivotal goal off an assist from Chris. This gave ND a four-point cushion heading into the final minutes and served as Dobson's eighth goal of the season. However, the Orange continued to stay in it.

Syracuse earned more points with goals from Jake Stevens (at the 4:27 mark) and Michael Leo (at the 2:43 mark). However, its comeback attempt fell short as Notre Dame made enough defensive stops and controlled the clock on its final offensive possessions.

Grad student goalie Liam Entenmann recorded eight saves.

The Irish (6-1) hit the road for a rematch of the 2023 NCAA National Championship against No. 5 Duke (10-2) on April 7. Face-off is at 12 p.m. EST in Durham, NC.

Luke Nixon singled home the game-winning run with one out in the bottom of the ninth as NC State edged Notre Dame, 7-6, Friday night in game 2 of a three-game ACC baseball series in Raleigh, N.C.

The Wolfpack (17-7, 7-4 ACC) go for the sweep Saturday at 3 p.m.

The Irish (14-11, 2-9), behind a strong starting pitching performance by freshman Jack Radel, took a 3-1 lead through four innings and held it until the bottom of the sixth. That’s when Nixon put NC State ahead with a grand slam off ND reliever Bennett Flynn.

The Wolfpack added a run in the seventh, for a 6-3 lead, before the Irish answered with three in the top of the eighth. Jack Penney scored on a wild pitch before Estevan Moreno tied the game, at 6-6, on a two-run double.

Jacob Cozart led off the bottom of the ninth with his third hit of the day and later scored on Nixon’s single off Caden Spivey (1-1).
