Once upon a time, I think Notre Dame would have been all over this. I'm not as certain anymore. Certainly someone I plan to ask about.

Michigan WR A.J. Henning announces his entry into the transfer portal. He was a top target for the Irish in the 2020 class.

Henning never broke through for Michigan with any consistency. He played in 33 games across three seasons and started three times. He has 25 career receptions for 198 yards and 15 career rushes for 186 yards and two touchdowns. His biggest impact at Michigan was as a returner. He returned a punt for TD in 2021 and a kickoff for a TD in 2022.

Henning's been at Michigan for three years, so he would likely need to be a graduate for a transfer to ND to work.

Notre Dame defensive lineman Alexander Ehrensberger is ending his college football career upon graduation this month and will return to Germany.

Al Golden and Al Washington will be checking on a priority linebacker target, and Joe Rudolph will be looking into a pair of offensive linemen committed elsewhere.

Deuce Knight, one of Notre Dame's 2025 quarterback targets, won a Mississippi 5A state championship in long jump tonight with a leap of 23 feet, 4.25 inches. He finished second in the high jump at 6-2.

Knight visited Notre Dame in April. The Irish will see him tomorrow for the second time of the evaluation period.

Caught up with 2024 power forward target Garrett Sundra this evening. The 6-foot-10, 200-pound forward attends Fairfax (V.A.) Paul VI and plays for Team Takeover on the grassroots basketball Nike EYBL circuit.

He reported an offer from Notre Dame in April and was previously offered by head coach Micah Shrewsberry while at Penn State.

“They liked my game and thought that I could fit in the way that they play,” Sundra told Inside ND Sports. “I was excited to get the offer because Notre Dame is a phenomenal catholic school and my family and I are catholic. We were very excited when Coach Shrews called.”

Sundra said he’s drawn to the Irish because of Shrewsberry’s coaching style and his positivity and trust in his players.

“Coach Shrews is a great coach and I enjoyed watching him throughout the season,” Sundra said. “I think everyone saw how good of a coaching staff Penn State had because of their success towards the end of the season.”

Rivals has not assigned Sundra a rating or ranking. Sundra said he'll make his decision based on how programs use the stretch four position and the relationship between coaches and players on and off the court.

“It’s important to me that I can come to my coach outside of basketball and talk about other things than basketball,” Sundra said. “Coach Shrews has both of those attributes so I will definitely consider Notre Dame moving forward.”

In the offseason, Sundra said he's focused on helping Team Takeover win the Peach Jam championship of the Nike EYBL.

He reports 16 total offers including Butler, Iowa, Miami (FL), Seton Hall and Virginia Tech. He took an official visit to Butler last November.

2025 three-star tight end Aaron Ia reported an offer from Notre Dame Wednesday.

The 6-foot-6, 212-pound tight end attends Orange (Calif.) Lutheran. As a sophomore, hauled in 24 receptions for 362 receiving yards and five touchdowns.

Ia holds eight offers including Notre Dame, Indiana, Tennesee, Texas, Texas A&M and Washington.

Notre Dame offered 2024 outside linebacker Khmori House Wednesday.

The 6-foot-1, 201-pound defender attends Bellflower (Calif.) St. John Bosco alongside 2024 LB target Kyngstonn Viliamu-Asa.

As a junior, he totaled 29 tackles, three pass deflections and two sacks.

He is rated as a three-star recruit in the 2024 recruiting class. He is ranked as the No. 99 player in California.

He reports 10 offers including Notre Dame, Oklahoma, Oregon and Tennessee.

2024 four-star point guard Travis Perry received an offer from Notre Dame on his visit yesterday. I spoke with him tonight about his visit, head coach Micah Shrewsberry, his approach to handling success and more.

Perry met associate head coach Kyle Getter while he was at Virginia, and said he'd known Shrewsberry through playing with Indiana Elite. Shrewsberry's son, 2023 shooting guard signee Braeden Shrewsberry, played with Indiana Elite alongside 2023 shooting guard signee Logan Imes last spring and summer.

"They've watched me play for a while and kind of got to know me for a little bit and just wanted me to visit up there," Perry told Inside ND Sports. "It was a good visit. I hadn't been on campus there before so it was good to get on campus and good to see everything. One of the main things they kind of touched on is the type of person I am over the player. Obviously, they say that I wouldn't be there if I wasn't a great player, but they want people to kind of fit their culture."

Perry attends Eddyville (Ky.) Lyon County, where he became Kentucky's career scoring leader as a junior by surpassing the 4,337-point mark previously held by Kelly Coleman (1953-56). Although he's achieved historical success, Perry said he understands the bigger picture.

"There's obviously a lot of attention stuff that comes with it, but for me, it's just about knowing that it can all be taken away in the blink of an eye," Perry said. "I'm no better than anybody else. There are a lot of people that have put me in a position to be able to accomplish that feat. It's not just me, there are my teammates that go into it a lot. I wouldn't have it without the coaches and all the situations I've been put in, it wouldn't be possible."

The 6-foot-2, 170-pound point guard is ranked the No. 87 overall player in the 2024 recruiting class and led Indiana Elite to a 17U championship in the Bill Hensley Memorial Run N Slam in Fort Wayne, Indiana, last weekend. He said Braeden and Imes are guys he can envision himself playing with in the future.

"They're guys that play the game the right way," Perry said "They're unselfish, they can both shoot it well, they can both impact the game and a lot of ways. They just win and that's something that you want to be surrounded with ... guys who win and play the game the right way and that's what they do."

Perry reports 17 offers including Notre Dame, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Michigan, Ohio State, Purdue and Virginia. He took official visits to Michigan and Purdue last September and said he plans on keeping in communication with the Irish moving forward.

Notre Dame extended an offer to 2025 weakside defensive end Hayden Lowe today.

The 6-foot-3, 227-pound three-star prospect attends Westlake Village (Calif.) Oaks Christian and reports 13 offers including Alabama, Louisville, Michigan, Pittsburgh, Texas and Utah.

Lowe played three games last season. He registered 16 tackles (eight for loss) and three sacks.

The Penn State to Notre Dame movement continued Saturday night. This time it's sophomore Kebba Njie via the transfer portal.

Notre Dame will be seeing some important secondary targets in Utah and Arizona on Tuesday.

Antonio Carter II is a 6-foot-1, 200-pound grad transfer safety for the FCS Rams with two seasons of eligibility remaining. He was a 0-star prospect coming out of Oak Ridge High in Orlando, Fla., but was 5-10, 154 at the time. In 11 games last season for Rhode Island, Carter recorded 60 tackles, 4.5 tackles for loss, a sack as well as an interception, 10 pass breakups, two fumbles caused, two fumble recoveries and a QB hurry. He told me the Irish coaching staff is working on getting a visit scheduled for him, and he's looking forward to making the trip.

Carter had no FBS offers coming out of high school. He has almost 20 now, with 14 of those coming from Power 5 schools.
