The roller coaster offseason for Notre Dame women's basketball guard KK Bransford continues.

Bransford announced Monday that she will sit out the 2024-25 season to fully recovery from a lower leg injury. Bransford intends to use a redshirt season in what will be her third season in Notre Dame's program.

Bransford previously walked back a decision to enter the transfer portal in April and decided to stay at Notre Dame.

Tyler, I enjoyed the data dump article. I watch the PFF grades a lot and they have their limitations as you addressed. We expected the line with the inexperience to be an issue. The data shows that. The data supports the idea that Riley Leonard has been a magician in avoiding pressure and eluding sacks. However I was concerned at his low Average time to throw on drop backs: 2.60 seconds (T-71). The rest of the season he needs to process faster going through his progressions and find the right receiver. When in doubt he needs to be comfortable with either a check down or throwing 50:50 balls. With 50:50 balls the receivers need to win those throws at a higher % then they are currently doing.

I'll be attending WBB media day at Notre Dame on Thursday. Today (Tuesday) Notre Dame is down in Charlotte at the ACC Media Days. Some of the teams will have their turns Wednesday, but ND is going today. Hannah Hidalgo, Olivia Miles, Liatu King and Niele Ivey are representing the Irish in Charlotte. I'll post some of the videos and interviews from Charlotte in this thread today and have a new set of threads on Media Day in South Bend. Riley Leonard is one of the 25 quarterbacks on the watch list.
