Been listening to IB for a while. Coming from the perspective of. D1 football player. 2 yr NFL practice squad player and CFL. 24 year coach. 3 at the college level . 10 as a HC. And almost all the rest as a coordinator - you couldn' t be more wrong!

Biggest CFB disappointments/surprises thus far

USC and MI for me. I didn't think either would underperform this much. To a lesser degree, Alabama, even considering Saban left and gave it to DeBoer...but they sure don't look like typical Saban teams.

I also get a feeling Ohio State is at a crossroads. Either they're elite or not. The surprise for me is that the verdict is in the air, as I thought they'd easily be top 4.

Well stated. I was also disgusted by how he left. No question. That said. Brian Kelly is a very good CFB head coach, and belongs in the top 10 group of top paid head coaches. I am a fan of his day to day coaching style.

I've been a fan since the 70's as well. he did right the program, but he also screwed ND in the end with how he left and what he said afterward. He's a douche and he could never win the big game, and it's a pattern that has followed him to LSU.

I just said it was unconscious! So it wouldn't even be your fault, you didn't even know you were doing it. All's I'm saying is calling BK a dead man walking, or appearing as such, and using that idiomatic language, would totally be associated by anyone at all on earth who speaks the English language as alluding to some sort of impending demise, of the person to whom such language was directed, and not just the look on their face. That would be the imagery evoked by such a description, almost universally. Termination, not resignation.

Anyway, you have a nice night. And forgive me for doubting you, and indulging my paranoia around BK's good name getting besmirched by unaccountably vindictive ND fans.
