Props to the Crowd Last Night!!

All the reviews I have read about the game say the stadium crew really had it together for this game and that the experience was a phenomenal one. The gold towels looked great on the TV broadcast. Great that you were there in person.

I have been to probably 100 or more games at ND Stadium but I don't think I ever heard the National Anthem sung so loudly by the crowd. Am I imagining things or was the crowd really into it?
My section sang it loudly except for one female Indy fan that dropped F bombs all through and got called out

Props to the Crowd Last Night!!

I was at the game. The crowd was incredible. It was maybe the best live event I've been to.

Credit to ND.....the stadium experience was fantastic. They had the place rockin all night.

I'll also add- there are some real knuckle heads in the IU fanbase. Drunk, and pretty aggressive, and saying some ugly things to ND fans. All in all......a bunch of soft college kids w beer muscles.
Yes, wanted to reiterate about the cockiness of the Indy fans…

Had some fun with them from the 4 min mark until they left with 11 mins to go

I take back everything I said...

I think it's good policy that any team that gets blown out in a game that by all rights should be competitive, especially the 8/9 game, to consider the playoff fatally flawed, in need of a complete overhaul, and that that team definitely did not deserve a bid. And that goes for Oregon in their pending rematch with tOSU, assuming current form holds. And if they should happen to lose by 17 or more then they too did not deserve a bid to begin with even at 12-0 and #1 in the country.

Way to many negative plays

I have nothing against Leonard, but the hype around him as a dual threat 1st round talent was way overhyped. He's been serviceable and helped the offense score enough to win games, but the defense has been carrying this team all year.
You are hung up on the 1st round talent comment by Golson.
He isn't a complete QB but his ability to run is a nightmare for defenses.
To call him serviceable is a joke. He is a winner.

Golden took the blame for the soft defense at the end.

I wouldn't have minded one consolation TD, but I was disappointed they scored twice. The coverage of both onside kicks was disappointing. It was bad enough to give up one, but we could very well have lost the second ball as well.
Collins was terrible on those onside kicks, lucky to get second

I feel ND actually got their A game today...except for the last 3.5 minutes garbage time, which I blame on MF. He can and should make the call. Both on Xs and Os, not going prevent. As well as an imperious leader demanding they fight to end.

That A game handled Indiana emphatically. Their O never stood a chance. Ok, it's the O however which remains an issue.

The ND offense played about as good as it could. But it could be tweaked to be a bit better. The OL is enigmatic, doing well enough overall, but not well enough like in those red zone situations where points where lost.

RL won't become a deep passer. But he's a good runner. Good enough short passer. Denbrock can call a better game to leverage and impose himself. Denbrock now for me is the key person...raise the ND A game offensively a bit...enough to help the D to beat Georgia.
I would say that was our B game..

Spindler was not in uniform after the game, which leads me to believe his injury was serious. I was happy to see Mills walking around on the sideline because the way he grabbed at his knee, I was thinking another ACL. There was no mention of Young's injury in Hanson's recap of the game.
+1 on Rocco being in sweats, very telling

The defense is going to carry this ND team as far as it goes. The offense will be asked to do enough to win the game. Saying it all year, the offense is one dimensional.
Riley Leonard isn't a good passing QB, he's very average if not below average. I was at the game and we were seeing open receivers and literally saying there it is and it took RL 2-3 seconds after we said it to throw it.
No chance, the offense will need to step up in a big way to have a chance at a natty. We’ll go as far as RL takes us. The defense will hold its own but with all the injuries can’t do it alone against the Oregon, OH St, Texas of the world. As shown against USC, they are vulnerable and the O/passing game will need to be better.
