I take back everything I said...

One thing I heard all week was the pundits saying Tennessee has a huge advantage on the offensive and defensive lines. Looks completely opposite to me. Also, this QB for Tennessee can't throw to save his life. Only the 2nd time I've seen him play. He scrambles good though. But his passing skills suck.
Tenn QB a lot like RL.

Tenn. benefitted from several teams losing after they did. They were dead in the water after their last loss. But hey; they are from the mighty SEC.

Way to many negative plays

Has he really been limited in passing since Miami OH? Stats aren’t everything but his numbers are pretty good. He hasn’t turned the ball over much at all this year and is deadly on the ground.

Even if he chokes against UGA, that can happen to any QB (see Caleb Williams against ND 2023).

I’ve said this a bunch I feel, but ND’s passing limitations are as much on the OL as they are on Leonard this year. Leonard makes up for it with his escapability IMO.
He misses open receivers, most of his passes are high percentage throws under 7-8 yards which is fine, but Im concerned the offense is going to get into a position where they are in 2nd and long or 3rd and long and/or need to score quickly, and I'm not confident Leonard can come through.

Still a ways to go. Never know. So I withhold judgement.

That said, the is literally a perfect storm for Tennessee. It's cold. Travel. Hostile crowd.

And Ohio State is pretty good. This game might be over were it not for that end zone interception. Chip Kelly makes some silly calls too, going with a long pass when they were fine running. Denbrock ain't alone in this.

:D

Again still a half to play, but I think Ohio State might be the most talented team.
According to Herbie, Yenn has 40k fans there. Had they played better in 1Q, the crowd would been neutered

Another game that blows up the SEC love fest

He's going to be tested in this upcoming game against Georgia. The offense has not seen a defense as good Georgia's all season. I'm hoping he does well, but we are going to see if his limited passing abilities limit ND's offense.

Golson, who was a tougher game for Notre Dame IU or SC?

Answer the question, who played ND better, IU or SC???

We all know the answer but I want you to admit it. I said SC would play ND better than IU.

You said and I quote
Indiana
Texas am
Louisville
GT
USC

My original argument was Indiana would be the 5th or 6th hardest team ND played. You said closer to 1.

Well???
I'd say IU was 5th best behind SC, A&M, GT (who didn't have their starting QB against ND), and Louisville.

Tough to tell, a serviceable QB with this schedule and D would have the same record, perhaps undefeated. RL’s tenure will be judged by this last run and rightfully so

100% agree. This is true by definition...as RL hasn't won anything yet. This is his chance...and for MF and Notre Dame itself.

1988. It's been a long time. The Fighting Irish need a NC.

You are hung up on the 1st round talent comment by Golson.
He isn't a complete QB but his ability to run is a nightmare for defenses.
To call him serviceable is a joke. He is a winner.
