Fighting Kelly’s of LSU

I think they should fire BK at this point. He can take his 60 million buyout, on top of the 30 million he's already earned, and retire, and sit on his pile of money, of 'generational wealth'. Thanks to ND fans, LSU fans have become equally bonkers and almost violently agitated over a three game losing streak. And they can replace their hated 'yankee' coach with someone hailing from south of the Mason Dixon line. Personally, I thought he was doing great. He took a legit dumpster fire program in total disarray, that he inherited from cajun favorite son Ed O., and had them in the SECCG first season. Recruited and developed a Heisman winner, who's probably even better than their beloved Joe Burrow. And was 6-1 this season before an improbable 2nd half comeback loss to A&M, and now the wheels have fallen off a bit, but it's not that god-awful of a crisis, and they stand at 6-4. And of course the bigger blow, losing BU. To a massive NIL deal that LSU wasn't able/going to match, that had absolutely nothing to do with BK himself. But he is the coach, so he does have to bear the blame anyway. He was not able to somehow save the situation, with some last minute in home visit or something. So that's his fault too.

So they should fire him. And just eat the money. And they learned their lesson. Don't hire BK!
The reality is, from 2010-2017, 2/3 of his tenure, he averaged 4.1 losses per year. The last 1/3 of his tenure 2018-2021 he was the beneficiary of weaker schedules. He's not a great coach, he's a good coach, and he's being exposed in the SEC.

LSU still has the #6 class in the country to NDs #12 class. LSU still has 2 other 5-star commits in '25 to NDs zero 5-star commits. LSU still has a 30+ year tenured head coach in Brian Kelly with a long track record of producing above the baseline that his talent suggests that he should.

If I had to make a best guess at what program has a brighter future at this point, my money is still on LSU/Brian Kelly. If we're going to evaluate these two programs into the future, its important that we use a metric that adjusts for opponent quality though (like F+) because the schedules are vastly different in terms of the level of competition.
I would make a wager on Brian Kelly not making it past 5 years at LSU. He's got 1-2 years left to show something. Another non-playoff year and he's probably done. You can talk all you want about his 2025 class, but starting next season, he's coaching with all the players he recruited or brought in from the portal. He no longer has an excuse of a rebuild. With the portal and zero restrictions at LSU a rebuild should happen much quicker than 4-5 years.

So here's what I propose chase. If Kelly gets fired or leaves LSU at the end of Brian Kelly's 5th season, you refrain from criticizing or posting anything negative about Notre Dame, the staff, the players, recruiting, and the administration for a period of two years. If Kelly is still coaching LSU in year 6, I'll leave the board for 2 years.

He was an average DC that required Kelly to step in and help coach the D… that’s saying something

He has a chance to be a really good CEO.. we’ll see if he has taken a step forward this next 1-2 months. I sure hope so
Kelly has never impacted the defensive side of the ball. If he was able, last year at LSU would have been the year

The problem is that there's very little upside/star players to be had in the transfer portal. Minus few exceptions, all of the upside is in highly rated HS prospects who haven't been evaluated/discarded by another FBS program.

We all want to guarantee a return on our investment with the least amount of risk possible .. but that comes at the cost of little to no upside on the roster.

ND needs to embrace the risk and have way more risk tolerance as it relates to their talent acquisition strategy/roster building.
Lol, that wasn’t your narrative when Deion was taking 45 transfers per year

Is Marcus Freeman already getting fed up with ND brass too?

There's projected to be as many as 12 NFL HC job openings this upcoming offseason and HC MF has been linked to some of these jobs as per NFL Network & ESPN

What an incredibly inane question

Who, specifically, linked MF to some of those jobs, and which jobs ?

Army - CFP

Well, I have to go to a surprise birthday party at 6 p.m. Saturday, which means I can't watch the game. And that means I'll be peeking at my phone all night long, which means that this game is going to be agonizing, with ND eking out a 24-17 victory or something like that. Before you scoff at me, you should know that I've had to miss more games than I'd care to admit to over the past 20 years, and almost every time, it has come down to the wire. This year, I missed the second half of NIU and the fourth quarter of Louisville.
The only way I would miss a game is a death in the family or my kids wedding. I would start feeling under the weather saturday morning, LOL.

Army - CFP

Talk about nonsense. Army has their best victory against mighty East Carolina. They haven't played ANYONE. Sure maybe if they had one so so SEC team on their schedule and the stars aligned perfectly they could pull an upset. Nearly impossible for them to win more than one game against an SEC schedule. 1-7 at best.
You forgot about the vaunted Lehigh Mountain Hawks at 7-3.

The cajuns aren't going to put up with BK with 3-4 losses every year. He has one more year left. Another mediocre season and they will fire his ass. Couldn't happen to a bigger D-bag.

JOK career may be over

There are expenses as well. Plus they are supporting the other non-revenue sports. You're a moron. Go to school and take a couple of business and finance classes. I've included a recent report below. from the chart in the article you take the revenue and SUBTRACT the expenses to get the NET revenue, which may not even be the profit, but let's say it is, Ohio State most revenue, but just under $25 million after expenses. math is your friend, I suggest you brush up.

Add in the fact that you have no clue what or how Notre Dame is spending their revenue, you're simply assuming. You have a very unhealthy relationship with college football in general, and I highly suggest you seek professional help, because you appear to be psychotic.
Don't waste your time on those articles. They can classify the money just about any way they want.

Underwood to Michigan

Do you think that ND would be 10-0 right now if Freeman had just started Angeli like you wanted, and that anyone who knows anything would agree with you?
I never said I wanted Angeli to start, I'm just pointing out a QB that can't pass when needed in 2025 is not winning ND a NC! The NC QB CJ Carr hopefully will be starting next year. The bottom line is RL is not first round talent and will not be able to make that 3rd & 10 against OSU, Oregon, Texas, Alabama or Georgia w/ the game on the line in a semifinal game hypothetically that he can even get us there. That's it, that's all, he's just not a good enough QB, period! The idiots that keep denying this again make up about 1% and make all other ND fans look like idiots.

Basketball MBB: Defense disappears for Notre Dame MBB in home loss to Elon

Elon got comfortable in Purcell Pavilion on Friday night. That led to an upset victory over previously undefeated Notre Dame.

“On the defensive end, that’s not how we play defense,” said Irish center Kebba Njie. “That’s not what I feel like Coach Shrews (Micah Shrewsberry) built this program to be about. I think offensively, we played pretty well, but there’s a lot of our defense that didn’t show up really too much tonight.”
