Reggie Bush & Heisman

Crime ? Play enlighten us all on what specific law that Reggie Bush violated . We'll wait...
I guess you never heard of the phrase, “ crime doesn’t pay“

And I guess that your limited IQ doesn’t allow you to make the intellectual leap that would allow you to understand the context in which I made my post.

have someone with a brain explain it to you

Reggie Bush & Heisman

Except he wasn’t taking steroids? One directly impacts on field performance, while the one he was implicated for does not. It’s simple actually.

Does it impact life? Sure, nobody says it doesn’t. Did it truly impact him on the field? I would say highly doubtful. Mom having a house doesn’t help him take a punt back. Also, there were many players receiving illegal benefits that didn’t win the Heisman trophy.
So you’re an advocate for selecting which rules you want to abide by

ND NFL Draft Predictions

Where does everyone see ND players getting drafted?

Mine are

Alt - 1st round
Hart - 3rd round
Fisher - 3rd round
Estime - 4th round
JJB - 6th round
Liufau - 6th round
Bertrand - 7th round
Hartman - 7th round
Alt top 10 (probably #7 to Tennessee)
Hart has been mentioned anywhere from late 2nd to 4th round.
Estime late 3rd or 4th.
There is always that one team, that one pick that sort of changes things. The #25 projected pick that ends up going top 10 or the top 10 pick that slides down the board.
3-4 QB's in the top 5 or 6 picks. I am not totally sold on any of them that are mentioned that high (Williams, Maye, McCarthy, Daniels). What I am watching for is the team that will pick Bo Nix (Auburn / Oregon). I think he will make a good pro.

OT Stock Market

Yep, someone ? Dumping gold/silver to counter the demand; has to be someone with a lot of gold! Know anyone like that? DJIA. Off500 and gold dwn! Both sides making a move now.
I was listening to the Schwab Network this morning before the market open and Google and Meta were down by the exact same percentage and it was said that algorithm were causing the shorts.
This sound wildly manipulative.

Most interesting or unique ND football player

Mario Tonelli Not even close

That was a nice story. Thanks for sharing. I love that kind of stuff. I knew about Tonelli being a POW during WWII, but I didn't know the whole back story. Tonelli's interaction during the Bataan Death March with the English speaking Japanese officer who had been educated at USC was fascinating. The Japanese were brutal toward the Americans, yet this officer put the respect he had for ND due to his attendance at USC above all that, and made sure Tonelli's ND ring was returned to him. That was an incredibly powerful statement. Due to the Japanese military's "no surrender" philosophy it is very likely the Japanese officer died later during the war, but his gesture of good will toward Tonelli is something Tonelli didn't forget.

Reggie Bush & Heisman

If you’ve ever strapped on a jock, you know the mental side is a massive component. If you were gifted a life changing sum of money, parents a new house- don’t think you would be better equipped to excel at hobbies/sports in your life? And why is that? Time freedom, less stress, access to resources?

CN you elaborate on what the USC monthly stipend was in 2005 compared to Reggie’s payment?
Odd post.

I did play D1 football before transferring to ND actually, so I will comment on this. If anything, receiving money and benefits could allow a player to take their foot off the gas pedal and not work as hard. Players who are broke and working for the draft and life changing money have even more incentive to perform.

I cannot comment on the monthly stipend, but even at a MAC school where I played, we all received a stipend so we didn’t have to get a part time minimum wage job.

OT: OJ Simpson will finally stand in true judgement...

Maybe you need the friends. You're soft. You're obsessed with me I guess. You read what he wrote and all I said was he was an idiot. You didn't say a word about that ridiculous post but came at me. You have issues. Best of luck with them.

Go get some friends
I can see why you get no respect around here. Mr Tough guy hanging out in mommy’s basement.

Would you feel the same way if he was taking illegal steroids ?

If you were dropped a couple hundred K, do you think your life would become easier? Aka providing freedoms, time/resources, you to focus on what you want? I speculated on where his cash was spent but to shun the belief that any human on the planet doesn’t benefit immensely from a large sum of cash, a house is asinine. Money= freedom. Reggie had a hell of a lot less on his plate than any college student athlete in the world. I’d be curious to see how current NIL big winners benefit vs those with 0..perhaps education becomes far less important, reducing stress on studies. Get real if you don’t think this had impacts beyond a material things.
