But I also believe, the university has approval/disapproval rights as well on designs --Yeah? I think they suck, and lack aesthetic quality. The lettering and logos look like something you'd see on a costume. In the wardrobe at your local playhouse. But that's UA. They're usually over the top florid and full of unnecessary flourishes and embellishments, and just plain ugly, though mercifully they've largely discontinued those garish Maryland uniforms, at least I think they have. And this is UA's design team trying to be understated and dignified. And they just can't do it.
I like the gold on the sleeve/shoulderAs an aside about the regular uniforms, what do you all think of the gold ND logo on the shoulder this year? It doesn’t bother me, but I can’t make up my mind which I like more — last year’s logo or this year’s.
A front of left to right of Lambert,Schrauth, Craig or Knapp, Jagusah and Wagner could be tremendous. Combine that with an extremely talented RB room and look out.I think Jagusah has the highest upside, but it's probably interior. I think lambert has the highest upside as a tackle. Overall, i give edge to jagusah with overall talent. Good problems if healthy.
One game against a team that was playing pretty much all backups just isn't a large enough sample size for me. I think Lambert is a better overall athlete. Again, it's a great problem to have, quality across the board. He made some mistakes vs Oregon state no doubt, but he did some things as well moving people around that we haven't seen since Nelson.
The play we run a lot where the TE cracks the DE and the Tackle is supposed to wall down the interior dlinemen. Jagusah at tackle doing that this year, man o man. Price had to squeeze in on his long TD run vs florida state due to knapp not able to crush people.
On the flip side, a 2 loss (in the sec) lsu team only had a chance to make the CFP by winning conf championship due to losing to USC.With all of the two loss SEC teams they need a way to differentiate them. A major OOC win can do that. That is one reason why UGA is making the playoff if they don't lose, their blowout of Clemson.
Sounds right unless OSU loses again to Oregon. 50/50 that OSU stays ahead in that case. We'll only get the 6 seed if penn state loses.
IMO, 5 seed will be big ten championship loser, 6 seed penn state, 7 notre dame
We'll only get the 6 seed if penn state loses. You're probably right.
6 seed still gets us a nice, favorable 2nd round matchup.
We'll see how it shakes out....
He made some mistakes vs Oregon state no doubt, but he did some things as well moving people around that we haven't seen since Nelson. Why would I ? He's still an unknown quantity from an actual playing standpoint and coming off a tough injury. Still way too small of a sample size for me. In the mix for sure.
I think Jagusah has the highest upside, but it's probably interior. I think lambert has the highest upside as a tackle. Overall, i give edge to jagusah with overall talent. Good problems if healthy.I agree Lambert has the highest ceiling of any OL in the team. But he will be challenged for that title next year with Will Black
2 elite prototypes for future NFL tackles
I would add Jagusah to that mix, if healthy, lock to start, just not sure what spot. He is an absolute unicorn physically at the position. Could be the biggest, strongest, and most athletic olinemen on the teamI would say with confidence that if healthy Schrauth and Wagner are sure things in 2025. The other 3 spots should be a real dogfight.
Absolutely. We found out this year how critical depth is.Just keep em from transferring. We need the depth to be elite.
Big 12 will probably get one. They will keep climbing with a better schedule than Boise and when they win their conference championship game they will move aheadBut they're not guaranteed byes. Very likely the BIG 12 champ won't get one this year. I say got to 16 and eliminate byes.
You're probably right.I think we'd be the five seed, if we beat NIU. Which would have been convenient, very much advantageous. But whatever, close enough....
Army-Navy is after the championship and final rankings. They will have played 12 games after the championship. They would still likely have to win their championship game against Tulane to make it.
You seem to have a lot of contempt for the academies.Army would be 6-6 playing any typical SEC schedule.
True, which would be against a decent team which would be another good mark for themThey would still likely have to win their championship game against Tulane to make it.
I think we'd be the five seed, if we beat NIU. Which would have been convenient, very much advantageous. But whatever, close enough....I agree.
Awful loss. Shitty day. Shitty weekend.
But when it all boils down, Freeman and co handled business and got to a place where they really control their own destiny. The NIU loss, like you said- was a fluke.
Beat Army. Beat USC. We'll secure a nice seed and home playoff game.
What this team was able to do after that NIU loss......is pretty remarkable.
We'll likely end up a 6 or 7 seed. Would've maybe been that, if we beat NIU.
The NIU loss turned out to be a blessing. It refocused the team, refocused the staff. You gotta bring it every damn week.
Current format is better than 16, unless you eliminate conference championship games, which they won't.But they're not guaranteed byes. Very likely the BIG 12 champ won't get one this year. I say got to 16 and eliminate byes.
