Tom Coughlin has lost it and the NY Giants lost another one today to the Saints giving up 52 points. I truly feel this is the end for Coughlin and Kelly will be heading to the Giants in 2016.

Always got the feeling from all the posts over the past few years that this is not Kelly's last coaching job .It is the same feeling that a lot of Domers have .It is not if ,but when .

As far as a pro coach ? A NFL team will probably give him a shot ,and he will be gone .

I personally like Brian Kelly and want him to stay. That being said he is not perfect and makes lots of mistakes (as we all do) so if he goes he goes. I think he has proven to other coaches you can recruit and win at Notre Dame. No a championship has not yet been won but if Notre Dame did not have as many injuries this year I think they would likely still be undefeated. Yes the offense has some issues but the depth and talent are there offensively to play with anyone. The defence is still behind the offense depth / talent wise (no I have not analyzed the overall star average) but I think this seems to be trending up.

Personally I think Brian Kelly fails in the pro's and while Notre Dame will possibly lose some key players this off season they should be an even stronger team next year in my opinion and because of this he stays.

This is such a BS post. Must mean ND is at the 2/3 mark of the season. What a bum.

Does he have the temperament for today's NFL player. He wont be grabbing any of those guy's by the scuff.......maybe the kicker.

it will be interesting to see if it happens. just when it looks like ND is set to take the jump to the upper tier of college football it would be our luck that he leaves.

Makes sense. His red zone offense mirrors the opening play here so there should be no philosophical problems.

If he is gone we are throwing the kitchen and the sink at Matt rhule.

Or anyone young and just hungry....lots of fire... Puts a huge emphasis on defense too.

I want Dan Mullen. He's a perfect guy for the job.

I'm indifferent to this issue. If Kelly leaves for the NFL good for him. If he stays in fine with that also. He has done a very good job getting the Irish back on the national scene. The main thing he has done is bring in quality talent so if he leaves the next coach might be someone who sees the talent and would want the job. Before it was all negative around the program. That is no longer the case. I do think he should stay because I believe he has a real shot on the next few years of a national title. I really don't think people realized how low the talent was prior to him arriving at ND. It has taken time but you can clearly see the difference even with all the injuries this year. Whatever the outcome ND will be fine.

Dabo Swinney will be the leading candidate and the ND job is more appealing than when Kelly took over!!
