As I have stated often, especially to Cub fans which I am a White Sox / Cub fan. The Cub players, management, stadium personnel, trainers, bat boys, ball girls, and stadium vendors all deserve a World Series but Cub fans do not. They treated one of their own as despicable as any human can treat another simply over a foul ball. Cub fans deserve nothing. The young man's life was forever altered because of these fools who conveniently set aside the brutal error by Alex Gonzalez. . I have a feeling if Bartman was built like Brian Urlacher none of these cowards would have said word one to his face let alone throw things at him.

Brian Urlacher would have kept all the fans back from the ball so Moises would have caught the ball.
I am a Yankee fan but I don't like Steve Bartman. He represents all that is bad about America.

Then why are you now engaged in the thread? Just go about your business and stay out of the conversation if you're going to be crabbin' about it all night.

Bodi thanks for the shout out... Schwaber has had a bigger impact on the Wins then Bryant but... don't see anyone beating the Cards in the NL

I assume you're an ND fan not an alum, and you are a person I've agreed with many times in reading this board. As an alum, I think it's despicable what this fellow alum had to endure from the colossus of loserdom (Cub fans). He reached for a foul ball, like others that were surrounding him! That's a human reflex at a ball game that I'd bet comes in at 90%, when you discard the people that are afraid of the ball that choose to duck and hide. Regardless, are we to assume that never a gold -glover, in a game that oddly gives that award to outstanding offensive players(like Moises) at times, was a lock to make that catch? Deep down Alou is probably happy his chance to fail in a big moment was negated. That play did not cost the Cubs 8 runs in that inning. Their own failures did that, as in the next game. Bartman a was young, intelligent ND grad who coached kids whose life was ruined by something ridiculously inconsequential. He deserves better in an ND forum. Let it go!

I don't care who's joking or exaggerating. How about not bringing it up anymore? LET IT GO! It's not funny. It's not clever. It just perpetuates the torture this young man has endured. If you don't understand that, shame on you.

I won't get my hopes up until the Cubs are up by 10 runs going into the bottom of the 9th in the deciding game. Even then, I'll be nervous. And I'm not even a Cubs fan.
