1. Navy will have to adjust to a highly skilled opponent---- They will not be playing Colgate, East Carolina, UCONN, or Air Force. At least the last couple of years they played Ohio State before us.
2. It is a Home game for the Irish---ND plays better at home.
3. Weather should be good.
4. Can anyone on Navy stop Will Fuller? They do not have any Mckenzie Alexanders.
4.5 Joe Schmidt is pissed coming off his worse game and is going to have a huge game--Greer Martini will do well also.
5. We shut down Georgia Techs option. We have been practicing for it all season long.
6. CJ Prosise will be our Leonard Fournette against Navy. He will break some long runs.
7. Dexter Williams and Adams should do well also.
8. Our Oline has a huge size and strength advantage against Navys samller front seven.
9. Deshone Kizer has had 3 games under his belt now and is growing into a star--He is 6'4" 235 pounds (tough to sack).
10 Chris Brown besides the fumble has been very consistant and has the speed to easily outrun Navys secondary.
11. Notre Dame is pissed off after the loss to Clemson---this is no trap game--it is a lets prove ourselves game..
12. I trust Jaylon Smith, Elijah Shumate, Max Redfield, K Russell, and Cole Luke to hold the edge.
13. I trust Sheldon Day, Daniel Cage, Isaac Rochelle, and Jerry Tillery to stuff the full back and get penetration against Keenan.
14. I believe CJ Sanders will break a punt or kickoff return---he is a dangerous man.
15. I trust Amir Carlisle and Tori Hunter Junior to make some yac.
16. I believe Alize Jones will be a huge matchup problem for the small and slower linebackers and dbs.

*** I could go on and on. Navy never quits and will make a game of it for awhile but they are playing the Irish at the wrong time.

I expect a 48 to 28 type game with the Irish winning.

Go Irish !!
Beat Navy !!

I agree with the score and almost everything else you stated. I will add that ND has 9 home losses over the past 5 1/2 seasons. They aren't invincible at home IMHO. Our guy Kizer is absolutely terrific since he was elevated to the starting position. And yes, with the great weather expected and a loud adoring ND crowd, I expect the ND offense to produce big numbers. BUT, the OL has to do their job. Saturday is also a perfect opportunity for the defense to create turnovers that I have been crabbin' about all week. Amir is a solid WR but I am not sold on him as our return guy. I know the defense played tough against GT but BK himself said that the Navy staff has been watching film of that game and will make necessary adjustments on offense. So, all in all, I would hope the defense could create some turnovers and keep the Navy point total under 20. Our offense will take over from there.

I found it much to do about nothing with both teams wearing the same logos, base layers etc. It sounds like two pre pubescents gawking. The logic of playing Navy forever is misguided as it does nothing to help Notre Dame. Many of the injuries incurred are attributed the cut blocks and we lose valuable players. Yes this has been discussed before but the admiration talk needs to stop. For those of u who disagree feel free to hammer me. I know thete are those who disagree. Go Irish.

I don't know that we really suffer an inordinate amount of injuries against Navy. Schmidt broke his ankle last year, but I don't remember that being the result of a cut block.

Like it or not, Navy will be on our schedule until they opt out.

That's a lot of points that ND needs....Quite Frankly ND should win this by just showing up if the program is truly at a Top 15 level.

Navy is 4-0. Navy have no fool around. Navy and ND will battle way to win game.
Navy have football with sec to go in 4th quarter ND defense end up their 4 down 5 yard to go.
Whew!
ND 35
Navy 34

I won't hammer anyone with logical reasons to not play Navy anymore. Everybody has an opinion about it. Next season the Irish play Navy and Army and those games are back to back if I'm reading the schedule correctly. Watching Alabama / Georgia last Saturday, I saw the Bama Backs using cut blocks on incoming rushers and on sweep plays. Before and after the GT game, BK said that BVG taught our guys how to defend against the cut block but BK was still concerned about it coming from behind. Anyway, I enjoy Navy week because the pre-game flyovers are usually pretty cool. IMHO, Navy, USC, and Michigan need to be the core of our schedule until the end of time or the Cubs winning a World Series, which ever comes first.

So, I guess you're saying til the end of time--and this from a recovering Cubs fan.
