Mike Hankwitz.... look him up. 25 years as a defensive coordinator, his defenses have ranked in the nation's top 25 on 14 occasions. As coordinator, his teams have 36 wins over ranked programs, including nine wins over top-five clubs and two wins over #1-ranked teams. And look where he's been and the defenses those schools had with him on the staff. Plus, he's been at NW for 8 years....ready for next move? Others like Dave Aranda (current LSU DC, but led Wisconsin to 3 straight top 10 Def) and Don Brown (current Mich DC but led Boston College to #1 Def. last year and Top 10 multiple years) have been snatched up this past summer. We should have went after Aranda after the debacle of last season with BVG.

I believe James Franklin has said some disparaging things about ND since he's been the HC at Penn State, but he may have done so while he was HC at Vandy as well.
