When thirty (30) plus players

That was my High School experience too, but the 4 major sport (football, baseball, wrestling, and basketball) recieved speal tutoring during the season so not to disturb trying for the season.
It was a very disciplined structure.
Wrestling which I excelled at is a very demanding sport with tournaments and multiple dual meets continuously happening, and tutors would be there every step to keep us up with the semester.
There were times I seen my tutors more than I seen my family
Well stated.

It is what it is but it is getting worse and escalating. Eventually I think it will effect viewership and ratings, especially if large number of players are opting out of bowl games and league championships. They can do what they want; but if the players don't care why should fans?
Even if viewership and ratings are getting worse the real question is will hit the conferences and universities pockets? The TV deals are paying an insane amount of money to CFB. I suspect part of the reason for this is that commercials only get seen during live sporting events or other events such as the award shows or the election. Meaning the supply for TV ads is scarce, as nobody watches TV shows right when they come out. I don't think we're going to see any changes until it hits their pockets. And I'm part of the problem, as I continue to watch football.

I think the progression is going to take a different path.

I think you’re going to see players opting out of conference championships and I think it will get worse.

I think you’re going to see players opting out in the fourth quarter of the season in their final year.

I think that an IL deals are going to have to be amended and performance based.

Why pay a player all that money if he’s going to opt out 2/3 or 3/4 through the season

Contracts are the next step for sure. Whether one year or multi year, that's the next step in this. It's crazy to think these college kids have more freedom than actual professional athletes in the NFL that generate far more revenue.
