To Nicco Fertita from Las Vegas . Irish fans were bragging a real find ,a big hitter.I had high hopes from the fans who predicted a good Career and see early playing time . I love (sarcastically) it when Irish fans over rate these high school players. As a defensive back , Nicco might be a good backup , but he doesn't see the field much and I don 't think he could keep up with the speedy wide receivers

But in defense of college coaches,even in the top programs, some high school players are overrated and will ride the bench most of their time in college

He was a three star rated #54 at his position. I don't think we were expecting Jeff Burris or David Bruton. He contributes on special teams, and actually got dinged in the MSU game. The two deep has 44 kids on it, we have 85 scholarships, not everyone is going to play meaningful snaps.

He played a bit last year. He was the one ejected from the USC game after a monster hit on one of their players.

Not the most gifted athlete, not the speediest - but the kid plays "angry" and hits like a ton of bricks.

Not sure anyone thought he was a great player. I think he is a good special team player and the type of kid you want on the team. Glad he is on this ND team.
