Just curious to know if the big blizzard is having any affect on South Bend?

Also, any thoughts on how weather in South Bend affects ND recruiting?

Thanks Ara,

That doesn't look bad at all. Of course, you can't feel the cold over the internet.

Maybe we should hold the JUNIOR DAY in FLORIDA.

Doesn't Michigan do that? I suspect ND will follow. Used to be ND didn't recruit young kids and now there is Junior day plus commitments from even younger ones. Times they are a changing!

the big blizzard is like 300 miles from south bend so no worries there. in January its about as good as you could hope for. not like the banquet weekend when it was 60, but decent.

Has no clue where South Bend is located on a map.

This storm dumped snow on the southern tip of Indiana. Evansville got some snow, I live about an hour away and (thankfully) not one snowflake.

Cold winters build character!

The weather in Indiana is quite balmy compared to the severe weather in the east.

Just did my drive for the 4th time today.....up to 25 inches but all okay. Just need power for playoffs tomorrow. Patriots & Cardinals? BE SAFE!!!

Was walking around in a hoodie on Saturday. Sun was out and it was beautiful.

As far as the big snow storm goes. S. Bend was 'too far north' to get anything. Maryland has more snow on the ground right now, than S. Bend has had all season to this point. And S. Bend regularly lands in the top 5 or so snowiest cities in America due to 'lake effect' snow.

And if you don't know what that is. It is basically the great lakes flipping you the middle finger and laughing at you every time the wind shifts with any moisture in the air.

Hi Alice and other posters with your weather reports.

I quite enjoyed reading about the weather in different places. And Alice, about cold weather building character.........I will leave it to you to do all the character building.

I am a confirmed snow bird. This morning I am sitting here in shorts and a tank top with all the doors and windows open and fans going. When I finish looking over the internet I'll walk out for a dip in the pool. Later we'll go out for a sea side Sunday brunch dressed in the same attire. Such is life near the equator. Will be back your way in late spring. Take care and please do be careful. Slipping and sliding can create some nasty falls.

PS. Artemis Gordon, I'm with you there bud............love Southern France and the Costa del Sol in Spain too. Great weather and excellent food! ;)
