Talent is only one component. How well your team has produced over the last several years, and how many players a team is returning -- who produced a lot of value the season prior -- are two other major components to consider.

The SP+ projections (you can find a post I made several weeks ago on the topic here: https://notredame.forums.rivals.com...nnellys-final-sp-projections-for-2024.191901/) provides that holistic view.

Coming into the year ND was ranked 9th in SP+ projections, and NIU was ranked 98th.
