Wake Forest is better than most think

Wake Forest lost their top receiver and top all purpose yardage man for the season. The game just got a bit easier.

I have the upmost respect for our last four opponents. I also know how good Mission Redemption feels after each victory. I'm betting on ND to finish that mission.

They are 29th in offensive efficiency and 22nd in defensive efficiency. Overall, 18th in the country.

Miami is 17th, Stanford 19th.

In the eyes of the committee, this will be a quality win if we do in fact win and further our strength of schedule and resume.
Everybody that plays ND is a good to great football team.

Yep. Just like NCST losing their top offensive player. Don't be surprised if Miami's starting qb does not play against ND or Love for Stanford does not play. Remember back in 2012 when Pittsburgh's kicker missed chip shot after chip shot and USC's starting qb did not play against ND? Just saying. When the NCAA and ESPN want certain teams in the championship or playoffs, these things tend to happen.

Wake Forest just lost their best player Irish win 52 to 3.

Brutal news for Wake Forest: Greg Dortch out for the year w/ an abdominal injury. Potential All-ACC WR had 53 catches for 722 yards + 9 TDs.

I disagree. I think most people that pay attention know they are a pretty good team.

Once again with the conspiracy theory. Wow.

Top of the hour.

NBC mentioned that the middle of the ACC is at least a moderately tough grind this year. I would not be surprised if the metrics rank them higher than the mighty SEC at the end of the year.

But you rarely get credit for the week to week grind, not in the polls, rarely in the computers, and probably not by a committee

We didn't even make it to Monday before we started giving Wake Forest the Lou Holtz treatment. We're gonna roll these guys just like we rolled the last team that was supposed to be someone to worry about.

They should be worried about Notre Dame. They have to deal with a team that's been beating people bloody because they KNOW EVERY GAME is a playoff game now.

WTF are you talking about? Your as stupid as Bugman!

I agree with Him. The big black stick that was used on Nancy Kerrigan was purchased by an ESPN credit card. They wanted Tonya Harding in the final!

This Wake game reminds me of the BC game in 1993. Nothing can stop ND from a playoff. Oops. Sorry I cant quite commit to Kelly yet.

What in the heck are you talking about?

Each of the last four games will be tough to prepare for and tough to win. Yes, our Irish should win all four, but must play like it is the last game they ever play until the victory is no longer in doubt.

LOL! NCAA is like the CIA now. They probably had the Wake receiver in a tiny basement room under the light of a single hanging light bulb. Saying "Is it safe?" and hitting him in the stomach with a phone book.

LOL. The great Laurence Olivier! Great movie!

Gautrup. Not ESPN just Jesus.

Oh yeah, he said ESPN. My bad! Herbstreit and Desmond? Not sure about that.

Guys he is right. I am an NC State insider and superfan. After Hines got "hurt" and went to the sidelines, he was about to go back in the game. Then some guy in an ESPN hat walked up to him and whispered something, then handed him an envelope...? Hines looked in the envelope and nodded his head, then never returned. Crazy that this stuff goes on.......LMAO

WF is a good team, but haven't faced a team like ND. Much like NCSt.
We will expose their weaknesses.

And lets not forget the Elko and Lea connection. They should have some valuable insight into how we can take advantage of some of their defensive alignments/personnel.

Colin Cowherd? Is that you?

We should beat Wake Forest. But I worry about every team we play, if only because of the possibility of key players getting hurt. I almost lost it when Morgan and Martini collided and got hurt and I was holding my breath when Wimbush got hurt late.

I like this team a lot and feel really good about its chances to get into the playoffs. I do think we lack depth at a lot of positions, so an injury-marred game could spell the end to the run.

Notre Dame is also better than you think. No problem for the Irish

Wake Forest is good. The Irish need to be ready from the start. If I there is a letdown game, it will be this one. In today's game , with spread offenses, anyone can compete. I'm not sure how ND will do. I think they will win. But I also think it could get dicey if they look past Wake Forest. So hopefully they stay focused and determined.

not looking ahead but as always im scared of Navy
Always scared of them, but this year I don't think they can stop us. Their D is not very good, and we are scoring a lot against good defenses. ND 49 Navy 24

I only look at one stat from opposing teams, and that’s rushing defense. Wake is 88th. NC St was 6th.

Feels so good to simplify the game down to that, but it’s true. ND by 21+ again. Let’s keep this train rolling.
