NC State won the previous eight ACC Championships in women's cross country. Notre Dame ended that streak Friday morning at WakeMed Cross Country Course in Cary, N.C., where NC State hosted the conference championship meet.

No. 5 Notre Dame's team score of 115 was better than No. 15 Stanford and No. 19 North Carolina, who tied at 121 with Stanford given second place on a tiebreaker.

Notre Dame senior Siona Chisholm grabbed All-ACC honor for a third-consecutive year with a sixth-place finish in 19 minutes and 42.3 seconds. The sixth spot is Chisholm's career best at the ACC Championship.

NC State's Grace Hartman won the race with a time of 19:15.1. An NC State runner has won an individual ACC title in each of the last six years.
