I have not watched many Utah games but man are they physical team. I what the Irish like that.

True but Oklahoma teams always folded against physical teams. USC is a carbon copy of those same Oklahoma teams.
I doubt he opened it too much if his ankle turns out to be something severe and that's taken into consideration. It could have helped the Michigan RB Corum but he's out too. I think it's still his to lose
I think he still wins also. I’d take him as a quarterback for Notre Dame is someone just liking.

Alex Grinch (I think that’s his name) was with Lincoln Riley at Oklahoma. Their defense wasn’t good there and it looks like a repeat at USC. I don’t understand how he still has a job as a defensive coordinator.

ND wouldn’t get boat raced by Utah, would be a much better matchup for ND than SC and Utes would be 6-7 point favorites. I Follow the home state Utes closely and this is no surprise, Wittingham is a Top 5 coach and nobody does more with less. That being said, they beat one ranked team all year (SC twice) and lost their other ranked matchups to UCLA (average by your own words), Florida and Oregon.
Started as a team manager then a student coach. Meanwhile Whittingham, the son of “**** you” Fred Whittingham was a 2x all WAC LB at BYU. That’s why I believe in Freeman. His teams will be like utahs. Tough mother F-ers.

Wrong.. USC receivers are better than us and in the game we played against them even their running back played better than ours..

Agree. ND played a tough schedule and was “boat raced” by no one. Matchups would be different. ND’s TO lost that game. We need a better QB no doubt. ND can go toe to toe with anyone, just not going to beat everyone at this early stage and as this year shows, it’s a tough to win all games. Teams are using the portal to create parity.
I will say Utah had a better defensive scheme. Not sure if that’s being in the PAC, matchups or playing then twice. They brought pressure from the edge, rarely shot the A gaps. Backers dropped to throwing lanes. Golden should do what coaches do, learn.

I never got the feeling ND lost either LOS against USC. When you stack the box on defense against Drew Pyne, winning a LOS is really tough. So he threw for 318.
Defensively, a healthy Caleb Williams is simply a PITA to defend.
