He sure is draining the swamp just like a long list of authoritative dictators and banana republic leaders.
I'm not surprised by what Trump is doing -- being from New York, I expected this chaos.
What disheartens me are reactions from republican and conservative leaders who are supporting the dissolution of our great republic. Men like Jefferson, Hamilton, Adams, Jay, Madison and the greatest of them all, George Washington understood that we needed checks and balances and a strong press to keep the President under check and avoid a US King George.
Adams wanted to call Washington “His Highness, the President of the United States, and Protector of the Rights of the Same.” but Washington came up with the humble, "Mr. President." He said he was there to SERVE the people. The only person Donald serves is Donald - always has, always will.
Something tells me Trump would like Adam's title. I could see it on his hotels, his plane, his vodka...
John McCain gives me hope but Ryan, McConnell, and nearly every Republican in the house have fallen in line behind him -- and that is what troubles me.
Still, I'm heartened that only 37% of Americans still support him and that support is dropping daily. Americans wanted change and many hated Hillary, that is for sure, but they didn't want this embarrassment.
The other day an International News source reporting on the meeting of Angela Merkel and Donald Trump said -- "Today the leader of the free world met with Donald Trump." That is what the world thinks of us now.
We need to work together to change this.

Whoever gave the U.S. the information had not given us permission to share the material with Russian officials. By doing so, Trump jeopardized cooperation from an ally (probably Israel) familiar with the inner workings of ISIS.
Do you think Israel (or whoever it was that gave it to us) will be as willing to share highly classified information in the future, now that they know how careless Trump can be with it?

McMaster stated that Trump did not share "sources, methods, or military ops intel". But no one ever said he did. They said he shared information about an ISIS terror threat.
Reuters now corroborates the WaPo account with confirmations from two other intelligence officials:
"U.S. President Donald Trump disclosed highly classified information to the Russian foreign minister about a planned Islamic State operation during their meeting last week, two U.S. officials with knowledge of the situation said on Monday."

Trump is doing the best job of any President in recent history. His healthcare plan remains a concern until more is learned, but otherwise, brilliant. More work and quality work in 100 days than Obama did in 8 years.

Except that McMaster didn't say that. He chose his words very carefully. He never said that Trump didn't release classified intel about an ISIS operation, he said Trump didn't release military ops or methods, i.e. things that no one said he had done. What McMaster said is tantamount to saying a guy who is accused of robbing a bank didn't commit murder.
BTW, do you guys think it is an effective approach to simply call people names? There is certainly a lot of that going on here. Argue the facts and law, don't engage in ad hominem blather. That is a waste of everyone's time.
FYI, Three people in the meeting said he did not release TS info. Common knowledge was discussed. Also just pretend Trump did. The President has the latitude to make TS documents available to anyone, Therefore changing the status of the information.
