Transfer portal. Any news ?

WR to go after? Troy wide receiver Devonte Ross has entered the transfer portal. The first-team All-Sun Belt selection posted 1,043 receiving yards and 11 touchdowns this season. Also returned a punt for a touchdown. Averaged 17 yards per punt return. A speedster, if small -- ND might have an in vs. the SEC teams (Ross is from Georgia.) As Caleb Davis, who is now the Director of Scouting for Notre Dame, spent some time with the Troy program as the Director of Player Personnel.

Some speed to go with a big bodied receiver would be nice.

A physical boundary receiver, how about 6-foot-4, 220-pound Malachi Fields is coming off back-to-back 800-yard seasons with Virginia?

That's a great find, that's exactly what we're looking for. Maybe he's a silent commit already, and they're slowing releasing them one by one onto the portal feed.

Rumors are that we have 1 dt, 1 te and 2 wr's via the portal.
Not sure about TE. The DL might not be a needle mover from what I've read. But that might be more speculation than actual inside info. 2 wrs supposedly correct plus the cb/nickle.

If we're going to be more of a passing team next year which we are, we definitely need more WRs. Good quality WRs, of all stripes and types. Because we took three last year, they immediately rose to the top of the depth chart, and they're all seniors, and we didn't get any good HS recruits. So we are in the same boat of a year ago, and now we're actually going to be throwing the ball. To say nothing of any possible departing transfers. LSU could use a big physical WR like Jayden Thomas.

Color me as someone not interested in Max Clare. Raridon and Flanagan have waited their turns and were both very highly rated. I’m also seeing Clare is more of a receiving threat, but the ND offence requires you to be a good blocker.

I think the guys we have are better and just haven’t gotten a chance yet.

He's an NFL Player IMO

Yeah I think he would probably be our starting TE if he came to ND. But I guess that was an early rumor. It would be a good spot for a Purdue guy like that to come to ND, but he's in high demand, and apparently will not be coming to ND, and all the buzz has him visiting various powerhouse programs and he'll probably go to one of those. And we don't really even need him. We definitely need WRs, though.

I think Burress is going to be a good one!

I saw that both Zachariah and his brother Zion entered the portal; from what I have read they are a package deal. Zachariah flashed here and there his freshman season, but I think he was a bit of a disappointment this season. Be interesting to see where they end up.
Lincoln Riley severely misused his talent. He has the talent of a St.Brown.

Okay, here's a WR we should go after. Nyziah Hunter from Cal. And he's got three years left! But he's from Cal, I"m sure he'd qualify under ND's newly relaxed undergrad transfer standards. Him and that dude from UVA and we would be rockin'.

I did noticed that Deuce and Zachariah are entering the portal from usc. Either would be a great pickup at WR.
