Because of the loss to Clemson .With some many Domers hoping for a final four berth ,we still have 7 games left . I' m looking forward to playing USC and Stanford . Even in our so - so seasons, always great to beat USC.. Would be extremely happy to win out .It is possible . Taking it one game at a time .Navy ,next up.

What is with all this playoff talk :)

I'm totally onboard for the rest of what turns out to be a great season. Everyone is la la land needs to come back down to earth. Seriously, its one close loss to a good football team. Its very, very difficult to go undefeated in CFB. One loss certainly doesn't spell disaster. Just ask OSU last year.

ND just needs to take care of business, improve each week and try to win the rest of their games. Try to do it impressively when they can and let the chips fall where they may.

Only a handful believe the Irish would go undefeated, amd those I'm not sure believed it .

Of coarse the Irish are still in the mix, but another loss could send the Irish spiraling.

A 10 win season with a major bowl victory ts a very good sesson.

Winning the rest and finishing 11-1 would be a great accomplishment for this team. We should be heavy favorites in all but USC and Stanford. But I think we'll be underdogs in those two.

I LOVE Notre Dame football and look forward to Fall every year. Win or lose I enjoy seeing a team that plays hard, does not quit, gets better every week, plays smart and represents "Our Mother" on & off the field.

This team is better than it has played vs uva, umass & of course clemson. They CAN Win out...but even if they do not I want to see Great Effort.

BEAT Navy!!!

ND has the talent to win every game this season. That said, they let one slip away at Clemson. Regroup and win! If ND does not make the playoffs then I hope they get a chance at Alabama to redeem that beat down in the NCG.

Would love to play an Oregon ,Alabama,Georgia ,TCU Baylor ,Oklahoma ,Mississippi ,Texas A&M ,Florida in a bowl .

ND would need to beat badly the teams they should and just beat USC and Stanford anyway they can. There are a ton of undefeated teams still left and a ton with one loss, so losing to Clemson was not a kill shot but it hurts. This is why beating GT 30-7 instead of 30-22 was so important. Style points. Who the heck knows if the selection folk even look at the details of the game. Maybe just the score. If so, they will not be aware of the beat down the Irish gave GT and how close the Clemson game was, how far they came back until the very end, and it was turnovers that lost the cotton pickin' thing, not necessarily Clemson, though Clemson fans have spent a lot of time here trying to convince everyone differently.

Pretty sure Clemson caused those turnovers.

Heck yeah... I still get to watch,Lord willing, (at least) 8 more ND Football game in 2015. Can't wait!

ND has spent the better part of two seasons committing turnovers to all kinds of opponents. At some point it becomes an ND problem. You wanna give all the credit to Clemson, have at it. I'm looking differently at the situation. A kicker sticking his coconut into our return guy and knocking the ball loose is all on ND. They are the ones failing to protect the ball as taught.

Kelly has secret meetings with all the skill position guys away from all the coaches --it's a secret meeting kinda like Dead Poets Society ---it's in a cave with burning candles -- oft times accompanied w bongo drums and burning incense and myrrh . He has them meditate for hours at a time while the bongo drums beat and the incense burn . He is casting a voodoo spell of sorts on them all, getting them to let go of what all their coaches from 5th grade on have taught them about holding on to the football during games especially close to the goal line .

He does this for several reasons but the most important reason is to piss off trolls on message boards - you see Kelly is really not concerned about winning - no way -- he simply is into pissing off nit wits .
Now we know that Kelly really does have total control over when a kicker makes our return guy drop the football . The vicarious pleasure Kelly derives from this is indescribable . Watch the next time we lose a fumble just watch when they put the camera on Kelly -- you can see him kinda snickering .....he knows what this is doing to the minions who troll Under the Dome and he is gushing inside .

I say damn Kelly he is responsible for all the mistakes made on the field of battle -- thank god we have this board so we can unite together and curse his very existence !!

Does he dress like Tarzan and wear war paint? I am betting BVG dresses like Jane. Seriously, this is all very believable.

Please point out where I ever said 6-6 is the new norm? Oh douchey one please learn to comprehend better. 8-4 is the new norm and it's really not because of a lack of talent. It's because the coach is a dumb ass.

and men's LAX
I'm not going to stop following lacrosse until they win it all one of these days. Sadly, last season was their best shot. Corrigan drives me nuts just as much as Kelly. Fingers crossed that that men's national championship is on campus soon in a real sport. Soccer doesn't count.

I think soccer counts and so do a lot of other people here. It is your opinions that don't count.

Do you see the name Brian Kelly mentioned one time in my comment? Do you see any names mentioned? ND has turned the ball over at least 30 times in the past two seasons. Now, I'm asking you directly. Is that a Notre Dame problem or should all the credit be given 100% to all of our opponents the last season and a half for creating the turnovers? Nothing long winded like your last post. Just get to the point. ND or opponent?

It counts to everyone at ND, every bit as much as LAX will when that day comes.

" the Season is not over " but it may as well be if we don't sink Navy !
Besides Clemson, we have faced some pretty poor teams, so the. 4 - 1
record may not be as good at appears ?
I don't really think that Clemson was all that good either, so unless
we see a much improved ND team the rest of this season, get ready for
another 8 - 4 season.
We must crush Navy and then beat USC. I think we have talent,
but we are still not a well coached, disciplined, team.
