#1 Clemson. Undefeated. Decent schedule. Can score a ton quickly.
#2 Alabama. More on this in a moment.
#3 Ohio State. Again more on this on a moment.
#4 Notre Dame. Could have beat Clemson. Impressive come from behind wins on the road. Decent schedule. USC was in some turmoil but they might have the most talented starting 22 players in college. Handled them without much of a scare. The Stanford game will send ONE of those two schools into the playoff.
Back to Alabama.
I'm not one to throw the overrated card around and I like how bama plays......but they are in fact overrated.
The SEC this year is so run heavy oriented. Every team is one dimensional with the exception of Ole miss. Bamas only loss...Ole Miss.
That amazing Tide defense everyone is touting gave up 40 plus points to the only team in the SEC who can throw. How well does that three loss ..yes three losses!!!! Ole miss team look now?
Did Bama blow out LSU? No. They only scored 30 points on an LSU defense that gave up 28 points to offensively challenged Florida. The same Florida team who could only score two field goals against Vanderbilt for the first 58 mins.
Alabama will probably breeze into the SEC title game now and unfortunately they will play Florida who can't even score in practice.
People say look how Alabama stopped fournette. Yeah well they played 8 in the box, sometimes nine. They dared LSU to pass in which LSU still can't pass. Ask ND if lsu can pass.? No.
Ohio State....."we know they haven't played their best yet." Ok. So rank them that high when they do play their best. What is the point of this committee if they are supposed to be looking at what a team has done to this point...
What kills me is they want to tout the eye test.....ok....if that's the case Ohio state has no business being in the top 6.
Wait they said Ohio state still hasn't played their best. Ummm, OK. WTFE!
If OSU wins out it will sort but sadly in the case of Bama I believe they are running table as I dont see anyone beating them until the playoff. Right now they do NOT deserve to be in let alone #2.
