Plus the championship game is played in prime-time during the work week and makes for a late night, so we have been freed of that burden.
Plus, Kelly’s strategy for Monday prime time games is hoping the other team doesn’t come out for the second half.
Plus I would have wanted to have playoff parties and buy a bunch of food and booze, which would have totally screwed up my diet progress.
Ski, instead of smacking Kelly, shouldn’t you man up and acknowledge your part in all of this? Bodi and DIP and myself were your trusted wingmen; and instead of the four of us hovering above the game and keeping Miami fans and players alike under control, you went rogue and joined the fracas. You not only left your wingmen without a wing, you compounded our formation flying by authorizing Wingman Bodi to arm and make a run at Little Rocket Man. What were you thinking, and what the hell did you expect?

Now that we’ve cleared the air and confessed our part in the infamous Miami meltdown, I’m looking for the squadron commander to make adjustments and develop a plan to neutralize the Navy Blue Angels that will surely be flying this Saturday! Bodi may be mute, but he is on call waiting to report for duty, and being grounded would tear his heart out.
We need to return to the field with a vengeance, and our defense will have to rediscover their physical fast play to stop the nations number one running offense. Our offense needs to literally score every possession. We all know how Navy plays tough hard nosed football with damn near magical reads by their QB, and they will arrive smelling blood in the water. Our team needs to match their emotion and arrive obsessed with washing away the taste of defeat and humiliation. This one becomes a Big Game in the context of our overall season and how these players respond after a major ass kicking. Can’t wait.
