Coach Sanford is a brilliant young QB coach and he had all the Irish quarterbacks over to his pad for Brandon's birthday party a couple of weeks ago. They all had huge smiles on and looked to be having a good time. I believe that Coach Sanford will do what he has to do to keep Brandon involved and to help him develop his skills to be ready when called upon. Don't be surprised if Coach Kelly and Coach Sanford get with Brandon and talk about redshirting him in 2016.

All they have to do is point to BKs tenure ... when is the last time a QB on his roster didn't get a shot ... either due to performance, injury, or otherwise?

Agree with Bod. However, Wimbush redshirting this year is contingent on keeping both Kizer and Zaire. If Kizer is named starter and Zaire leaves, Wimbush is back up again and both Kizer and Wimbush have 3 years of eligibility, then Wimbush is going to be sitting there thinking "the only way I'll start is if Kizer gets hurt or leaves early for the draft."

With the amount of option that the QB runs in this offense, either scenario is likely.

it's a good problem to have. Remember, just a few years ago we had Tommy Reese as our starter and Hendrix as a backup!

Never understood why Hendrix couldn't put it together. I'm sure it was all mental, but still disappointed netherless. Basically the same player as Kizer in terms of athletic ability. I wonder if he would have fared better or been a starter with Sanford as the QBs coach.

huh ? hendrix nowhere near the passer kizer is . hendrix was a good athlete trying to play qb with a very mediocre qb skill set. should have switched positions ala jared clark.

The Irish aren't the only team to have talented QBs waiting to play. That means they have recruited well. It sucks for the one not playing but eventually you get your chance. Winbush will get his shot. I don't think he leaves at all. 2017 will be his year. By then hopefully a new stub will be in waiting. That's how it works. Kelly has done an excellent job recruiting and building depth. It took longer than people expected. But he has it rolling now. This season has been proof of that.

He never got the mojo back after hitting Nigel Bradham right between the numbers with that pass in the Champs Sports Bowl. His promising ND career just kind of went meh from that point on.

It's not the 4th of July Bodi.

4th quarter, we have the lead, we have the ball inside our own 15 yard line, receiver on a slant pattern, Hendrix doesn't see FSU LB Bradham, hits him right in the chest with the pass, interception, followed by FSU TD, followed by we lose.
