I'm starting to think he left psu cause his use of profanity all the time was only suited for the pros. Yikes....he's making me uncomfortable just watching.

Really?? Wow, it doesn't bother me in the slightest and as my gal and I laid in bed watching it last night we actually were talking about how we enjoyed his coaching style and wished it could be more like that in today's world. Coaches started using profanity when I was around 12-13 growing up.

The Penn State fan base really screwed up when they drove O'Brien away. He would have been a bear to have to play against.

He was always going pro.

Exactly. I think he was always intending to return there, as soon as the right opportunity arose.

Penn State made out okay though; O'Brien held their program together for a few years during their sanctions, and Franklin was a good subsequent hire.

really ? good thing joe moore wasn't wired for sound in his coaching days. haven't met a coach yet who didn't curse constantly at practice.

I watched hardknocks this morning and was impressed with O'Brien as far as being a family man. He has a special needs son who he treats like a prince. The man has a heart of gold.
But he could cut down the bad language just a tad-- it gets old quick.

What is he going to develop a QB?
