Says who? Last I heard he was trending to Washington

I haven’t read anything about Lyon’s senior season, but he dominated against weak competition his junior year. He Isn’t nearly as physical as Merriweather as I recall. Lyon’s is a very lean kid, something like 6’2 and 160 pounds. I think Merriweather is a couple inches taller and forty pounds heavier. I think there are similarities: good hands, good instincts, good route running, smooth and deceptive speed, etc…. I hope he does commit, and I hope he would be an early enrollee because this kid will really benefit from early work with Bilas; something that Merriweather greatly benefitted from as well. Our receiving group has the potential to be a strength next year with the emergence of Merriweather and Thomas and Colzie, and the potential quality of the incoming class.

He’s going to Washington. QB Michael Penix Jr is awesome and their offense is fun and explosive. I watched Penix Jr a lot this year. He’s got a cannon and great accuracy
