Great...but in today's world you'd only get garbage coaches. Not sure if possible....but honestly I would put in a 2 year minimum commitment for assistant coaches. I would perhaps allow a couple of exceptions....i.e. offered head coaching job but if I am going to commit to you how about you commit to me? Reasonable?
No way. Doesn't work in that business. Not sure if possible....but honestly I would put in a 2 year minimum commitment for assistant coaches. I would perhaps allow a couple of exceptions....i.e. offered head coaching job but if I am going to commit to you how about you commit to me? Reasonable?
Yes, but it would be nice if they stayed more than one year, for continuity.People wanting to hire your coaches is a good problem. Too many years of the opposite.
They you fire them. The difference is Rees and Golden both signed three year contracts. I.E. They both have two more years.....if you fire them you owe them the money per the terms of the contract. What if they asst sucks?
This would be good newsSeems real, and he never moved his family to ND per ND writers.
ND OFF SEASON BABY!
With the right backfill, like the person that told freeman no last year. This would be good news
it is a good thing when you see your coaching tree in demandSeems real, and he never moved his family to ND per ND writers.
ND OFF SEASON BABY!
No one would want them then. What if they asst sucks?
Huh ? You don't think others would leave their current jobs too ? Not sure how he'd feel about recruiting but a guy like Steve Wilks would be tremendous. A pipe dream for sure. Both are gone and at a point in time when all the other good coaches have already been scooped up. Should play out very well for our future. Not.
Opportunity waits for no one.Yes, but it would be nice if they stayed more than one year, for continuity.
I think it's just a little bad luck on our part, as far as the timing. You have Alabama losing their OC to the NFL and then Saban deciding that he wants ours, while apparently at the same time Golden's former boss at Cincinnati is in line for an NFL HC job, opening a job potentially for Golden in the NFL. Oh, well. This is two coordinators potentially leaving after one year fully in role, and not doing that great of a job. Both O and D were average. I’d expect this after getting to cfp next year, not after 9-4
Yeah, but a stronger program and or ad and or HC wouldn’t have people even listening to moves that aren’t clearly next step upI think it's just a little bad luck on our part, as far as the timing. An NFL DC job would be a step up for Golden. And as far as Rees, obviously we've all been discussing in other threads why he'd take that job.Yeah, but a stronger program and or ad and or HC wouldn’t have people even listening to moves that aren’t clearly next step up
Now you want both back but you didn't like them all year. Do you ever stop complaining.Yeah, but a stronger program and or ad and or HC wouldn’t have people even listening to moves that aren’t clearly next step up

Bama lost their DC too. It's what happens when people do a good job.I think it's just a little bad luck on our part, as far as the timing. Like Pete Golding ? Guess Bamas not a strong program in your mind.Yeah, but a stronger program and or ad and or HC wouldn’t have people even listening to moves that aren’t clearly next step up
Pete didntBama lost their DC too. It's what happens when people do a good job.
Well, one Coordinator is leavingThis is two coordinators potentially leaving after one year fully in role, and not doing that great of a job. Both O and D were average. I’d expect this after getting to cfp next year, not after 9-4
He is a basket case. Now you want both back but you didn't like them all year. Do you ever stop complaining.
Neither would be huge losses. Both can be upgraded
You complain to complain
USC coordinator is the Head Coach. LSU is BK buddy.Ohio State, Clemson, Georgia, USC, LSU coordinators would not leave for the same position at Bama. ND is fading.
Doesn’t matter. Hartline would not take that job. Garrett Riley would not take that job. Monken would not take that job.USC coordinator is the Head Coach. LSU is BK buddy.
LolOhio State, Clemson, Georgia, USC, LSU coordinators would not leave for the same position at Bama. ND is fading.
Osu is better program than us right now. Riley would. Georgia is a better program than Bama right now or on parDoesn’t matter. Hartline would not take that job. Garrett Riley would not take that job. Monken would not take that job.
No one agrees with you. You're in a different worldFunny to you. Not to those that care.
Riley would definitely not.Osu is better program than us right now. Riley would. Georgia is a better program than Bama right now or on par
Riley brother left TCU for Clemson. TCU just went to the Title game.Doesn’t matter. Hartline would not take that job. Garrett Riley would not take that job. Monken would not take that job.
He would not leave Clemson for Bama. TCU is not Clemson.Riley brother left TCU for Clemson. TCU just went to the Title game.
So... when Saban retires and Dabo leaves for Bama, which is very possible. What then?He would not leave Clemson for Bama. TCU is not Clemson.
