did I miss a thread on this? I just saw the ESPN article about Corey considering quitting because of concussions.

http://espn.go.com/college-football...son-decide-future-suffering-three-concussions

No announcement yet...

I think that is a realistic possibility and if he were my son I would likely encourage him to do so. That being said I have no inside knowledge of the conversations he has had with his Doctors. I think Corey is a great football player but if his Doctors advise against playing he has a bright future ahead of him. Retire from Football...represent the University of Notre Dame as student body President and go out and make some money and spend your time helping people. Watch his video as a freshman interview...you could tell he is desitned for greatness above just catching balls. He was truly magical a couple of years ago and due to QB changes or his own abilities marginalized last year I think he wil do better if he plays but I would likely feel better if he does not.

God Bless.

No, you didn't.
Notre Dame WR Corey Robinson still to decide on future after concussions
Reading is fundamental
The Key word here is "considering".. Please realize this. As a person in the medical field there is lots more to be studied regarding concussions..

Seems like an easy decision once desire and emotion are taken out of the equation. A history of concussions in college rules out a professional career (realistic dream or not), and so the issue is playing for love of game and university. Hope he embraces the career he enjoyed and decides to move onto the next chapter of what promises to be a very successful and impactful career outside of sports.

Misleading thread title. He's in the process of deciding.

Sounds like a good topic for the usual clowns to argue about.
Look. It is his health ,not ours. Whatever he chooses, he has already made ND proud. Kid has an intelligent head on his shoulders. If he gives it up, his health would probably be better considering head injuries.

I'm not making fun of Robinson, I'm making fun of the idiots on this board who fight about the color blue when the opportunity presents.

And I agree with you 100%, it's his business. I hope he puts that first and anticipate a guy like Robinson is smart enough to prioritize.

dumb facebook post "good for Corey, used football as a tool to get a good education" ... really? Kid had the grades and the money to go anywhere he wanted whether or not he played any sports ... obviously the poster had no idea who the kid is
