Robertson??

Not someone who follows recruiting closely, but understand Alabama is back in the mix for him because they lost a top WR commit on NSD. The story changes daily from A Stanford ND battle, to a ND Georgia Battle, to a Stanford ND Georgia battle, to a Stanford ND Alabama battle, to a ND Alabama battle. Hard to assess the extent to which academics are a critical consideration with Alabama back in the conversation. Lots of experts expressing opinions and some mixed messages coming from his brother and family. Not sure how much of the apparent circus is of Robertson's making.

Claypool
Stepherson
McKinley - see comments on Stepherson from Denrock

"Unfortunately for Kevin, he’s way undervalued in this recruiting class. From whatever perspective that people gave him a certain rating or talked about him a certain way.

"Kevin is a dynamic football player who has as good a set of hands and ball skills as we have on our football team right now. His ability to get in and out of breaks, quick feet, explosiveness at the wide receiver position is something that I think is going to add to our football team, and he’s going to be a dynamic player for us.

"Kevin being here right now is going to be tremendous for him just from a learning standpoint and giving him a leg up on what we’re doing as we move through spring."

Robertson is better then Stepherson. That is not a knock on Steph. DRob is just dynamic . He can play RB and WR . That combo is what this offense needs. He could probably play defense too . Why not ? ND could really get their $ worth.

If we get him great as ND will be better for it and the complainers will be happy we get a 5 star athlete. The reality is someone who is not sure of Notre Dame usually does not work out in the end. I will be very happily surprised if he chooses ND he actually stays for 3 or 4 years and contributes. I personally think he would have chosen ND if he wanted too..ND is obviously not the top choice so do you really want to be married to someone who would rather be married to someone else? I say at this point save the scholarship for next year.

I don't disagree - my point is we have 6 top end H.S WR in the program of which 2 or 3 can take the top off the defense already , in addition we have the most dynamic TE in the program since Rudolph and Eifert ( Alize Jones ) . If Robertson comes terrific if not ND does not skip a beat .

Scuttle butt among THE COACHES is StBrown and Boykin are both special talents and Hunter will be a star for the next two yrs in the Slot .

We could bring back the rocket, Tim Brown , Bettis, watters, etc etc....

First of all there is only one football to go around and secondly and MOST importantly you have to be able to make some plays on defense.

Since '12 our defense has been poor. '13 our d line was fine but our back seven sucked. Jaylon was a freshman.
Not much has changed on this. We get elite talent on offense and Kelly's schemes minus his red zone calling is very good. There is never a time someone isn't open.

Defensively on the other hand we lack play making. Big stops at the biggest times. We have NONE.

So robertson showing up or not means nothing.

Get us some studs on the defense and suddenly we become competitive.

P.s .

Simplified defense ****ing helps too

When he gets that last SAT score. The 7th I believe

Right now his basketball team is in the playoffs and plays the 10th, if they win they play again the 12th, if they lose season is over. His team isn't loaded with AAU guys and aren't expected to advance very far in state playoffs. Right now his plans aren't set, lose the 10th and he may official UGA the weekend of the 13th. He has 2 officials left to take, if he makes his test score Stanford will get 1 and he will decide between UGA and Bama. He has been to both multiple times but his mother has been to neither. Drob's brother is his guardian, but that is to get eligible to play football according to GHSA residency rules, mom is in charge and most would be surprised he signs anywhere she hasn't seen. Drob has a twin sister and mom wants them to attend the same school, she has already enrolled at small school in the Alabama system this semester and is ready to transfer to Alabama or UGA, dont' know if she can get into Stanford or ND as a non athlete. She is a good HS track athlete but probably not D1 level.. If he improves his test score, about 100 points, Stanford will get one of two officials and he will decide where he takes the other between UGA and Bama. He doesn't get the score and he takes officials to both of those, at least that is the word yesterday on him. Even at that, he may not sign a LOI, just financial aid papers, so it may not be over with him until summer school starts and he just shows up on campus.

he is gone from DRob to O.DRob

Just so tired of reading about him. ND has a roster of firepower no matter what he decides! Now if he could play DT!
