Riley Leonard

I saw that article. They have a DL hitting the portal that was good too.
Everything is trending ND’s way, but Leonard is injury prone.

Irish Illustrated just crystal balled him to ND

This portal QB will have the most upside of the guys we brought in, Coan and Hartman

What makes him injury prone? Because he got hurt this year? He was gutting that shit out and Duke probably beats Florida state if he doesn’t reinjure that ankle.

He can play. He’s really good

Agreed cuz he’s more dynamic. But have to maximize our talent at our positions.

Hartman wasn’t the problem this year but I agree Leonard’s potential is higher. He’s good enough to win a championship with IMO

He’s not a grad transfer. Maybe that benefits us since he likely values a prestigious degree.

Being from Bama, my hope is he isn’t interested in Auburn. If we get burned after all these CBs and media hype I’d be stunned.

I thunk he is a grad transfer

I don’t think he’s technically a grad transfer as he’s only been in college for 3 years (unless he took enough credits to graduate early), but he does only have 1 year of eligibility left.

It will be interesting to see if Angeli or Michney enters the portal.

ND hurt him then he re-injured. Wasn’t hurt in 2021 as frosh or 2022 as starter. Why say he is injury prone?

I think you take him, but nothing guaranteed. I think he does have the ability to be more mobile and that appears to be what parker wants...

Other forums said Greathouse just followed Leonard back on social media. He’s now following several ND players.

I agree with you if they are targeting him as the starter for 2024. If ND is taking him for depth and competition for the QB room, I'm ok with it. Realistically, Riley Leonard is a downgrade from Hartman who I didn't believe was anything special.

Leonard's numbers through 7 games weren't that great. 57% completion, 1,102 yds, 3TD, 3 INT. If Angeli or Minchey can't beat him out then neither are very good.

In 2022 he had a 64% completion rate and had 20 passing TD’s, 13 rushing TD’s, and threw 6 ints. He passed for nearly 3,000 yards and ran for 700. He did get hurt this year. Not sure if that’s why is stats were less than impressive or not. Either ways he’s dynamic and has more QB experience than anyone at ND.

I dont agree with this at all. He's was a 1st or 2nd round guy by the analysts before he got injured

Way more upside then those 2

This. He is considered a first or second round pick after the 2022 season. above average release speed. ball placement is considered above average. above average football IQ.

He needs ti improve and hopefully Gino can do that. He has similarities to Ridder.

he could be the real deal. I disagree with your last sentence. Whether he has way more upside than Kenny is a premature statement. We don’t know that.

Him or Howard I will be happy. Add some wr depth and some other pieces in the portal don't see why we can't be a top 12 team next season.

Both of them know going to ND was going to be competition.

He is from Alabama. How about the irony of it if ND meets Alabama in a playoff game

I am willing to bet a good three figures that Riley Leonard will be enrolled at Notre Dame in January.

I believe this is a done deal.
On3 is reporting it’s between nd and auburn and that’s he’s going to take visits. Everyone else is saying he’s all nd. Someone’s very off.

You know who else had a sub 60 percent comp percentage? Awful way to judge a QB

His 2022 numbers are very solid.

Anything after the ND game is moot. He was on one foot
