I have heard this from 2 people in my little Notre Dame circle. This sounds crazy, but any legs to this? Is this the reason Buchner is coming back? The guys that told me this did not know at the time that Buchner was coming back.

Yes, Riley Leonard transferred from Duke to Notre Dame. He’ll be the starting Quarterback this fall. Buchner is coming back as a receiver. To suggest that Leonard will now leave the program is ridiculous.

Have anything better to worry about than rumors from Chass?

I think the OP was referring to two "little people" in his ND circle, the same two who appear in the shadows when he goes to bed at night.

And now we have Noah! Loading up on QBs. After Riley wins the Heisman and takes us all the way, more QBs will come. Duece, Noah -- with Steve, CJ and Kenny already in the house. If you build it...

Wow. Another top 100 player QB. Sorry but the truth hurts sometimes. Rees and Kelly sucked at recruiting QB”s. So glad there both Gone.
10 players on defense against Ohio St. after a timeout, two plays in a row, hurts as well.

I’m talking about recruiting 75.
Coaching wise Kelly had the upper hand.

But I like freeman’s approach to coaching a lot like urban Meyer. A Meyer story or quote I heard.
“ We didnt win on Saturday cause of coaching “
“ We Won on Saturday cause we beat you recruiting everyday of the week ! I see that philosophy in coach Freeman. JMO.

Go Irish.

Notre Dame did not out recruit Ohio St. last season, won't this season, nor will they ever. Kids at Notre Dame are expected to attend class.

⤴️ USC fan chimes in to bash Freeman with the same lame remark once again.
Timeout is called against Ohio St. at a crucial part of the game, and Al Golden and Marcus Freeman send 10 out on defense not once, but two plays in a row. I still SMH at that.

You've brought this up to many times. There was no reason for you to bring up again in this thread other than to troll real ND fans.

So does throwing the ball into the endzone with a freshman QB from the 19 down 1 against Tulsa when you could have kicked a field goal to win. That did hurt as well
B Kelly was best at the things that he wasn't known for: corporate management, replacing a hopeless qb, defensive recruiting, hiring a DC except for that one guy...

But he was sold as one of the many spread system OC that would put up gaudy total yards making unknown qbs into stars. Kelly was actually bad at all of that.

Heisman Trophy winner Jayden Daniels may disagree.

2 plays in a row doesn't equal 26 pass attempts in a monsoon at NC St in 2016...there is nothing short of MF throwing a game that will ever be compared to this coaching malpractice! Well unless you want to question BK's authority to cancel practices, you would be best to stop bringing BK up anymore on or off the field.

Is there a big payout out there for often injured average QB’s?

So does going for two when up 11 points when 14 mins left in the game …or throwing into the end zone from the opponent 19 yard line on second down, with opponent having no time outs left, and a FG would win it…or staying with a 3 man front against Navy against the wishbone…for starters

Kelly was never a good game day coach. He won when everything went according to his plan.

Freeman has been a mixed bag so far. I am a lot more concerned about the entire games against Marshall and Stanford than a couple plays vs anOSU.

Yes

My response was not to defend MF. He is still making mistakes. The Marshall game was completely his inability to pick team up after an emotional loss on road and just use superior talent to win.

I just like answering Cali boy who says same thing all the time

How do head coaches as inept as what you describe get offered 100 million guaranteed to be a head coach at LSU, and then oversee the development of a Heisman Trophy winning QB while he is there within 2 years?

Have you ever heard of Mel Tucker before?

Those were in his 1st season. We didn't have any bad losses like those two last year. We didn't play well on the road against Louisville or Clemson, but they were quality opponents on the road, which is never an easy game in CFB.

How many Heisman Trophy winning QB's did he coach before he was fired?
Do you get extra wins for having a Heisman? Did they change that rule and I didn't hear about it?

You asked how do inept coaches get 100 million. Now Kelly isn't inept but your point was a bad one because a lot of coaches get a lot of money who are not very good

Ask Mike Denbrock and Marcus Freeman why they would bother to coach for someone who "...isn't very good."
