Riley Leonard looking to transfer?

No. 6 names have been mentioned already. Look up more if you need more proof. It's not hard to find
You lost me at Charlie Weis. When he signed that contract extension in 2005 he wasn’t overpaid. No one disagreed with the extension. He was fired 4 years later because he was inept.

Anyone like you can sit on a couch and point to a fired CFB head coach from 5-10-15–20 years ago and claim they were overpaid.

So what.

A lot of people disagreed with it. How old are you maybe you don't remember. He had 2 good years but with all Tys players. He got the contact too soon. There are dozens and dozens of coaches who were overpaid or paid too soon etc who weren't very good. He's one of them

Revisionist history. Outliers disagreed.

After Ty Willingham, no one did.

And it was Ty Willingham recruiting, or the lack of it, that was part of the reason for Weis being fired.

What’s overpaid? You are paid what the market in your industry will bear at the time.

A lot of people disagreed. Ty Willingham and him being a bad head coach led to it. They gave him the contact too early

Contract too early? That's certainly worth arguing. Overpaid at the time? No. Charlie Weis was coming off three Super Bowl rings as OC of New England, a very good 2005 season, that included an iconic effort against USC that certainly overshadowed the USC beatdowns incurred by Ty.....

And your description that a lot of people disagreed? Great. A lot of people applauded it.

We soon found out it was a mistake to hire him in the first place.

Yes contact too early. That would be like giving MF a huge contract before this season. And I'm a huge MF fan. But this is a big year for him. He has to show continued improvement. If he doesn't he shouldn't get a big contract extension. If he does then he should get it.

Weis was paid too early

Brian Kelly is at a school that is far easier to recruit top tier talent. Ed O, and Les Miles each won national championships at LSU in year 3. Brian Kelly is heading into his 3rd year at LSU. I honestly don't see him winning a NC this coming season or in the next 2-3 seasons. Kelly will go the way of Jimbo Fisher at Texas A&M in the next 2-3 years, and I'll wager anyone who is up to it. SJB75?

Sanders revive Colorado PR wise but jury still out if he can coach. Late in the season his teams were getting out-schemed pretty bad.
Cristibol started off hot with Miami then had a couple really big head scratchers especially game vs Gtech when he could of taken a knee, but lost on a fumble.
Narduzi had a couple solid seasons with Pitt but no way his team should of been that bad last year.
Napier with all that talent at Florida to underperform as bad as they have is not getting your money's worth.
Mack Brown has recruited really well had a heisman QB got off to a hot start & the team imploded. Hasnt delivered yet.
Malzahn great offensive co but outside the Pick 6 year his record is average. He is a consistent 8-5 coach.

I can't believe Auburn moved out a coach who had three wins over Saban.

After that 12-2 season it wasnt pretty.
8-5
7-6
8-5
10-4
8-5
6-4
Auburn was the regular season national champion in 2017. The tv-bastardization forced them to play rematches and lose it. It's only going to get worse now. Auburn could win a close Iron Bowl, congratulations, now do that four more times in a row.

How do head coaches as inept as what you describe get offered 100 million guaranteed to be a head coach at LSU, and then oversee the development of a Heisman Trophy winning QB while he is there within 2 years?
And Joe Biden. People are all too often in positions they don’t deserve or earned. Getting a gig doesn’t mean you’re qualified. Can you recall how many top Top 10 wins BK had at ND??

How many wins?? 100 million guaranteed worth if you ask LSU.

Ask Texas A&M how they feel about paying Jimbo $90 million to not coach. Schools make mistakes. LSU will soon find out they also made a mistake.
Ask Notre Dame OC Mike Denbrock why he chose to work under Brian Kelly for so many years as his OC.

At two different schools. Including LSU.

Ask Mike Denbrock why he left Brian Kelly at a school that's far easier to recruit and win to go coach at Notre Dame for Marcus Freeman.

Why would the current Notre Dame OC work for Brian Kelly?

Why would Notre Dame's head coach, Marcus Freeman, choose to work under Brian Kelly?

Ask them.

Freeman always loved ND, and thus.was his chance to get in….that’s why. Similar with Denbrock

Learn to read and comprehend.
Under the new awful playoff structure, you can bet that a few of the at large slots are reserved for the SEC. Someone like 2022 Bama that finished 10-2 is not going to be left out of the playoff very often.

So if LSU thinks BK found the recipe for a string of 10 win seasons then it would be a good investment.

LSU isn't paying BK 100 million for 10 win seasons and first round playoff exits. They invested that money and expect a championship or two. If he doesn't deliver in the next 2-3 years he'll be gone.

that will be true if he is suffering 1st round exits to SMU. My point is that the most important thing in a playoff structure is to make it.

You’ve never taken a job with a better company (aka Cincinnati to ND) to later figure out your boss is shit? Or followed more money with that same shit boss? Denbrock left the almighty BK for a coach with two yrs HC experience, shouldn’t you be praising MF under the same logic?

And

And Urban Meyer hires wife beaters as an assistant and keeps them on staff.

When you are a head coach for decades, anyone can sit on a couch and point out mistakes that head coaches make.
How many Nattys did Urban win? Don’t worry, BK hired a man who assaulted a police officer.

It was a bad hire, any way you slice it. Just because everyone thought it was a good hire doesn’t make it so, proof is in the pudding. I don’t get a pass for hiring folks who fail the company, regardless of what the masses think.
