Makes me wonder if coaches new he had a drug problem and covered it up. He was sent home last year from the bowl game. Was it due to drugs?

He recruited him. Just like he recruited Golson. It proves Kelly doesn't get ND and recruits low character guys.
Is Kelly responsible for anything at ND?
Yes..was late because of drugs.
I didn't care. He might be the worst safety we've had since 1984.
He was the absolute best in the country at hitting a ball carrier standing straight up...then looking at him all perplexed that he didn't hall down. Completely allergic to getting his nose dirty and making text book tackles.
Don't get me wrong we all tackled like shit but he was by far the worst.
Farley took the worst pursuit angle in the country and redfield was the laziest tackler.
A dynamite duo in our secondary no doubt.
It doesn't matter what Kelly does. In your eyes everything he does is wrong. He is going to stay, whether we like it or not. But to act as though he is to blame for everything that ever happens on or off the field with 100 players is simply foolish. No coach can control all of that and players have to take responsibility for their own actions.
Posters like you comment about how ND is weak because it's an academics-first school, yet you also want them to lower the standards to bring in "borderline" players which other schools accept. Then, when something happens like this with Max, you say that Kelly brought in low character guys.
So, which one do you want?
You still never answered my question from a week ago. Are you End-23? Sure seems like it to me.

Good point pendick. There has been a pattern of off (and on) field trouble under Kelly that's hard to ignore, unless your swarbrick.
Unfortunately, it seems ND has lowered the standards to Purdue on the field, and Florida under Meyer.
Speaking for myself here but I don't say a word about these guys off field stuff. They are human .. WTFE...
I bitch all the time unfortunately at on the field things. Simple things that drive me crazy. We can't win them all but do we have to be the most disorganized worst tackling team in the country?
Those are simple fundamentals that can be taught to anyone...and to those who've been taught that in their career they need to have repetition of it. It's that simple.
Again it's a laundry list of things that piss me off but make no mistake it's on the field not off the field.

But, to answer your question, yes, Kelly is responsible for most things that go on in the program. But Max doing what he's done is not one of them.
