I hope there’s gonna be a major uptick and recruiting this year. I mean honestly, Is there another coach in the country that has more good vibes surrounding him than Marcus Freeman? Mom’s are absolutely in love with this guy
If he wins a national title is there any way the university is going to say "no" to him to anything? Even 25 mill in HS recruiting NIL budget? lol god i'd love to see the football team Marcus Freeman could build with a tier 1 recruiting NIL budget.I hope there’s gonna be a major uptick and recruiting this year. I mean honestly, Is there another coach in the country that has more good vibes surrounding him than Marcus Freeman? Mom’s are absolutely in love with this guy
our academic requirements were even higher during the Weis era and we recruited that level of prospect before. I dont think even ND fans realize the sleeping giant that the ND brand in college football is. Not to mention the sheer size and NIL potential of NDs fan base. Even during the last 30 years of relative mediocrity ND is still topping tv ratings and selling out their games every week and pulling in borderline top 10 recruiting classes while enjoying the benefits of having the 2nd largest fan base in the country. Now imagine what happens when ND elevates to the undisputed #1 team in the country after slaying the head of the scarlet & grey dragon? Most important task for Marcus is: keep his coaches, the position guys - Mickens, Rudolf, Max Bullough, Deland McCullough, Washington have done a helluva a job taking 3 and 4 star recruits and turning them into NFL level players. Of course it is nice to have Golden and Dembrock too!
Not sure, given our academic requirements, we're ever going to be a top 3 or top 5 recruiting juggernaut, but ND is proving (like Michigan and Washington did last year,) player development and the right transfers can get you to the dance.
I do think some 5* will take a second look. Best culture in college football under Marcus! But it isn't the be-all, end-all it was five years ago.

Bro you're drunk on DriskellFreemans recruiting classes are better than Weis'
You are using totals (even though back then ND got the benefit of the doubt) you play football on an actual field.Bro you're drunk on Driskell
LOLYou are using totals (even though back then ND got the benefit of the doubt) you play football on an actual field.
When you don't recruit the lines well and miss out on positions during a whole year it doesn't show in recruiting rankings. But it shows on the field. Freeman recruits the lines better and he never has a class where he completely misses at positions. His team building through recruiting is better which makes his teams better.
Also, Just because you were told that Leonard Moore was a low 4 star doesn't make it so. He's a freak. I wouldn't trade him for any corner in that 24 class. They missed bad on him so going into next year on the team composite ND gets credit for a 4 star when in reality we have a 5 star on the field
That's hilarious coming from you. I evaluate each recruit on my own. Some I think are underrated. Some overrated.LOL
If Notre Dame were ranked higher in the same rankings im using, you would be using those same rankings as evidence to validate/reinforce NDs talent level. But since those rankings don't validate your opinion, you have to diminish/overlook them. You can't see beyond your own bias.
Good effort, but I doubt Chase will comprehend this. You are using totals (even though back then ND got the benefit of the doubt) you play football on an actual field.

I think this is unlikely. Both Mickens and McCullough look to be prime candidates for coordinator positions when the season ends. If Golden bolts to the NFL as some have speculated, then I think Freeman offers Mickens DC. Successful programs always have this kind of turnover, but they are also highly desired places, so I expect Freeman will have really elite young guys to select from if either or both leave. Most important task for Marcus is: keep his coaches, the position guys - Mickens, Rudolf, Max Bullough, Deland McCullough, Washington have done a helluva a job taking 3 and 4 star recruits and turning them into NFL level players.
