He doesn't need a scholarship anymore so why waste the time in doing it.

Yes. Even if it is a waste of time, if he doesn’t complete his scholarship requirements then he shouldn’t get his degree paid for. He should immediately be released from scholarship and not be able to participate in any team function....get your a** of the sideline.
