If a college football player on a team going to a bowl declines to play in that bowl, should his scholarship be voided ?

Yes. Even if it is a waste of time, if he doesn’t complete his scholarship requirements then he shouldn’t get his degree paid for. He should immediately be released from scholarship and not be able to participate in any team function....get your a** of the sideline.

Yeah. It’s called breaking a contract. It’s cheating the school out of money. Nothing in life is free. You play or you pay.
