Pump the Breaks on Conference Talk

That would be an option, I doubt any of those teams really choose that unless they are left behind. How much do you think your NBC contract would be worth then. While your at it why don't you merge with the Ivy league.

I guarantee you will be in the minority of the ND fan base that wants to do that, lol.

Are you really this dense? The NBC contract is six or seven million a year. ND's endowment is in the billions per year. If ND were that concerned with TV money, we would join the Big 10. Your post indicates you know zero about ND.

I don't claim to be a ND expert. I doubt the contributions to the endowment will continue growing at playing a schedule you mentioned and not all of those schedules

I seriously doubt anyone thinks your enlightened with the exception of a handful of 70 something ND fans sitting around in lettermen jackets. You have to be one of the more crotchety old guys I have had dialogue with.

Anyway, I'm sure ND would just love to become that irrelevant to relegate their progam playing with the list of people you mentioned.

Like I said, you know zero about ND.

I believe there will be superconferences in the near future. if that occurs notre dames biggest obstacle in remaining an independent will likely become scheduling. it's increasingly difficult now. you'll see more and more games against the temples and umasses that aren't in the superconferences.

Let me introduce you to the playoff committee. Why is a committee where ND has one quasi representative going to put you in over their individual conference champions that have 12-1 records against your 11-1 or even the Big 12 champ that is 11-1 with a bigger win than ND will potentially have if Stanford is there at 1 loss(Stanford could be beaten by Utah or whoever wins the Pac 12 South)?

The last member to me makes This committee questionable. They should not allow anyone fired from more than one coaching position for performance on the committee. No on can tell me there will not be a bias in there somewhere. I would argue regardless of the bias his eye for talent might be questionable as well. I think a better committee is one made up of one rep from each power 5 then one from mid and one non associated with cfb like condi.
