ND - 10-2 with losses @Clemson and one more.
USC - 9-3 with losses to two of @Arizona St., @Oregon and @ND, and an L to UCLA.
Clemson - If there QB stays healthy, they can win out. To be safe, 10-2 with losses to Georgia Tech and one more.
Georgia Tech - 11-1. I think they have trouble with ND or Georgia.
Michigan - 7-5. Losses @Utah, MSU, @Penn St., OSU and one more.
MSU - 11-1. Would love to see them win out, but they play @OSU.

I can see ND losing 2 but I do not believe Clemson is one of them.
If they do lose 2 they will come from GT, USC and Stanford.
If they get by GT unscathed, I think they go 11-1 and into the CFB Playoffs.

ND fans are under rating USC.
And remember USC had just half a roster (40+ scholarship player in '14) when they walloped ND. They will have a lot better depth this contest. Yes, ND should be improved, but not to the point of fans being confident that this is in the W col.

In no way am I underrating USC. I see them as one of the two or three other were a loss could come for ND. You have to remember, they did only have 50+ (I think 59 is the correct number) scholarship players suited up for ND; however, among those were Aghular, Williams and Buck Allen. They lost some great pieces. They also lost Jackson for the season. They are going to be very good. At the same time, their away games are really tough (@Arizona St, ND and Oregon) I don't see them, or anyone else for that matter, able to go to those three places and win all three. They may finish 10-2, but I don't think they do any better.

I recall the # dressed being mentioned by beach as in the 44-46 range. But they did replace the talent you mentioned- with equal or better talent.

ND 10-2
USC 9-3
GTech 9-3
Clemson 10-2
MSU 11-1 (I have them upsetting Ohio State at Ohio State)
Michigan 7-5

Michigan has a tough schedule this year. One of the better P5 OOC's in the country, along with Virginia and a couple of others. Going to be hard for Harbaugh to get his system in place and compete to tough in year one. Tons of potential. But he was late to the game getting to Michigan this year. And could be 2 years before we see real 'growth' in AA.

Michigan basically opens the college football season for the FBS at Utah. A team which should be 3rd or so in what should be the toughest division in college football this year (PAC South), they have Oregon State and UNLV right after that and still have BYU on the schedule.. Not a bad OOC at all. Their biggest advantage is having MSU and Ohio State both at home. Both of which they will be at least 10 point under dogs to.

They play at Minni, and PSU both could be toss up games.

Wins I have
at Maryland
Rutgers
at Indiana

They will get some wins Harbaugh is a quality coach. But looking at their history he has never had the team on all cylinders in year 1

They certainly did not replace the talent mentioned with equal or better talent. Williams was a top ten pick. They have no defensive lineman that good. None of the freshmen backs are as good as Allen, and even USC posters will admit the upperclassmen at the position couldn't beat out Allen because they weren't as good as Allen. Aghular was way better than any current receiver on their roster. Smith may be there in a couple of years, but he isn't there now. Jackson, the other hot Freshman playmaker is gone for the season.

I dont see Indiana winning 6 games. Defense is pathetic and the big ten east is too difficult.

I think Michigan goes 7-5

I see, alot of the usual seasonal flammers are starting to reappear, along with the usual and seasonal corp of pompom waving 'it's not the Coach's fault'rs', who are designated and standing by to explain away/ or put spin on unfavorable happening or event.

Jackson is gone for the season?

Somebody better tell USC that in a hurry....

He was fine earlier tonight.

Williams was great in the first 3 quarters of games...but he disappeared at the end of games after playing 80+ snaps without a break.... He therefore could not prevent USC's losses. Hopefuly vastly more depth will change things a bit this coming year.

USC had their worst YPC average (4.0) in the last 15 years or more last season. There is no way their rushing attack will not be more successful this year. All their starting offensive linemen are back along with 2 backs who played ahead of Buck Allen in 2013 before they both got injured. Also on board is the #1 freshman running back according to at least recruiting sevice (24/7).

USC depth at receiver is as always... blue chippers waiting to step up. They will be fine.

Both teams will be much better this year.... should be a great game.

My mistake on Jackson. I saw an article from last year and didn't notice the date. The rest of your reply is simply wrong.

Williams was an All-AMerican and dominant player at his position. Ask Stanford how he played in the fourth quarter. There are no defensive linemen at USC that are even close at this time.

Buck Allen was by far the best back they had. He had over 1400 yards. No USC back has done that since 2005. And no, they don't have the number one Freshman running back. THey did get three good backs, but they are freshmen. They will sit behind Davis; or maybe not, because he was a top five back and couldn't beat out Allen. Allen was by far their best back.

USC's depth at receiver includes a bunch of guys who weren't even close to Agholor (104 catches and 2 punt returns for touchdowns). I don't know how you could have watched USC play and still argue that point.

Yes, overall they have more depth. And yes, it is very likely that their number one defensive lineman, running back, receiver and place kicker (forgot to mention that four year starter at that position is gone) will not be nearly as good as those they lost last year.

The USC OL will be improved. If ND fans can hype that then SC fans can do likewise. They always have top RB's.
If the RB/OL are back to SC standards then the WR's will benefit. I think JJSmith will be more than capable as NA's successor. Plus they have an experienced QB.

ND and SC will field potent offenses. Who fields a decent defense is where they will separate from each other.
