play calling

Picture of who is calling plays at ND.

I guess you look like a fool now, don't you?

He made two poor calls in the game in my opinion.
Why go for 2 in the first 4 minutes (or course this came right after a great fake FG call)?
And the 4th down attempt at the 22 rather than a FG.

But, at the end of the day, he won. And you are pissed about it. FU Massengil.

Power is a play nimrod. Denver won 2 SB running Inside and Outside Zone. Power football is a mantra repeated by idiot sportswriters and idiot fans like you. You are clueless about football. Sit down and be quiet you're embarrassing yourself.

It is also a philosophy/style....

“We live for the 4- or 5-yard gains; the 4- or 5-yard gains are the body blows,” said Shaw at a coaching clinic in 2013. Despite a poor Week 1 effort in an upset loss to Northwestern, Shaw’s Cardinal offenses have enjoyed great success with power football over the past few years. “I liken us to Evander Holyfield. We are not Mike Tyson. We are going to hit you hard in the ribs during the course of the game so that when you put your hands down, then we are going to hit you with a haymaker. We are going to wear you down and take our shots when we have you down.”

That was Gibbs’s model with the Hogs, that’s the model of every pro-style power team now, and, maybe most interestingly, it’s increasingly the model for Ohio State, Auburn, and some of the country’s best spread offenses. Everyone wants Power."

"That’s just power football…. two tight ends, a balanced up front, pick a side check your run one way or the other go straight ahead…" Doug Flutie today....

I guess you can't answer my Andrew Luck question....

committee approach ain't working; time for a "leader" to emerge. The problem with that is a clear route to accountability can be discerned! Like any organization accountability has to be shrouded on vague confused allocation of assignment! Result="ain't my job" is the functional reply to responsibility.

Kelly is the offense leader and is responsible and is accountable; and averaging 36 pts does not suggest the committee approach is not working. You want to elevate Sanford so badly that you disparage the collaborative effort of Sanford and Denbrock and Kelly after two games and two wins. The offense left too many points on the field yesterday, but the problem was our defense.

too much time to get plays in
too many predictable calls
and how about RZ?
and oh, 3rd down

and this: "The offense left too many points on the field yesterday..."

yep: offense is not the real problem, it is defense! Glad you guys caught up to the spring forecasters!
