Notre Dame Nation:

I re-watched the Indiana vs. Notre Dame college football playoff game and was curious what you think was the top four pivotal plays of the game. Mine are as follows:

1. Xavier Watts - Interception
2. Jeremiyah Love - 98-yard touchdown run
3. The fake field goal attempt - Freeman punked Cignetti into calling a timeout (the smile that said - I got you) was priceless. "Cignetti eats crow for all of that smack talk!"
4. The recovery by Jordan Faison, when Mitchell Evans fumbled

Honorable Mention: Jordan Faison's 44-yard reception.

Go Irish!!!

Go Irish!!!
Freeman didn’t punk Cignetti. ND snapped the football and ran the fake field goal play.

Is that what it was, MF was so befuddled with consternation and rage, because of whatever the F that coach said, that we ran a weird trick play and we didn't even get the first down, on the off chance he would call a timeout right before we snapped it?

And it worked too.....

Jeter actually kicking a field goal was important, too, even if one got blocked later.

Another key play — looking ahead, anyway — was the sack that Mills got injured on.

To claim what was said in #3 is laughable.

Aneyas Williams. Nobody is talking about him. Rewatched the first half last night he had two great catches (one diving, one he picked up off the turf) -- and two big first down runs in clutch situations. Love had the big run, but those four plays were crucial to ND securing the lead for good.
