Stupid putting wimbush in there....and Russell is horrid. Pointing and complaining to redfield while the ball is in the air instead of trying to get back. Terrible
Mistake was not letting Wimbush run actual plays. the prevent offense run plays don't give him any experience
Agreed. He was on a design run play when he fumbled. I would have let him throw it a couple of times as we may need him in a real game situation to lead a drive or two or worse more.
Russell - you mean the guy that had the INT late against Southern Cal and again against Temple? That guy?
He made a mistake and that happens. He thought he had assistance deep from the safety. Cut him some slack.
You are right that Redfield messed up and didn't help Russell. However, Russell had time to adjust to this. He should have tried to play the ball. If he can't. He should have held Boyd and taken the penalty. Better a penalty than a TD.
The issue was KR pointing and yelling at Max while the play was in progress and the guy was streaking for the end zone. We are now nine games in. What is it going to take?
Hey we won on the road, and I am happy about that. But I am really concerned with the back end of our defense. None of them are playing consistently well. I am thinking the year off has hurt KR especially. And we give up way way to many chunk plays and 3rd and longs. But we won, so onto the next game. Get better, survive and advance!
Great game by the offense today. That was a lot of fun to watch. I wanted to see Fuller go for 200. It's a lock that ND wins 10 games this year. Anything else is icing on the cake for me.
There is a reason Tori Hunter has been working out at Safety the past three weeks. That doesn't exactly give a vote of confidence to the guys already there.
Glad we have a bunch of commits in the secondary. This bunch worries me each snap.
Even if the year off hurt KR, he's been through 9 games now to work off any rust. Not to sound critical, but I never understood why so many felt that KR was gonna be an all American this year. He's a former running back recruit turned corner and in the time I saw him play, I thought he could be a solid corner, which is what he is now. But not an all American.
