I love Notre Dame but I'm also a huge college football fan in general. So my question is IF Penn State beats Wisconsin (I don't think they do) this weekend do you think they get in the Playoff over Ohio State?

This could be a mute point if Clemson or Washington losses this weekend but if both of those teams win and Penn State beats Wisconsin I don't think there is anyway OSU gets in over Penn State. The committee has been instructed by the conference commissioners to put emphasis on head to head, and conference championships. Penn State would have both over Ohio State if they beat Wisconsin. I really hope this happens and OSU gets left out.

Hoping for a much better year next year for ND. This was one of the most disappointing seasons I can remember.

I just don't see a two lose team jumping this Ohio State team. Yes Penn St won on a spectacular play at Penn State; but PSU lose to Pitt and blown out by 30 at Michigan. I found this year the most disappointing in my 52 years as a fan of ND. I'm taking a, "I'm from Missouri" stance from now on. I wish ND would replace Kelly, but that's out of my hands. 31 loses in 7 years is totally unacceptable. How do you have a losing record at ND in year 7 at ND with that schedule?

If Bama, and Clemson win out, Washington loses to Colorado, and PSU beats Wisconsin and looks good doing it, there's a chance that PSU could grab the #4 spot and the right to get annihilated by Bama in Atlanta. A chance. But the committee would have to take PSU over Michigan, who both have two losses and Michigan beat PSU by 40 pts head to head. If they took PSU over Michigan it would tell us that winning the conference really is way more important than anything else.

For what it's worth, Ohio State making the playoff at 11-1 instead of a 11-2 conference champion would probably be better from ND's perspective in terms of establishing some type of precedent that an 11-1 non-conference champion can stay ahead of an 11-2 conference champion. Of course, that's assuming that ND is (1) ever in playoff contention, and (2) demonstrating the type of talent and skill that OSU is demonstrating.

The committee will pick OSU regardless of the big 10 title game because they present a better match up for bama. Plus OSU is the number 2 team in the country and have done nothing to hurt that ranking. Penn St. has two loss's OSU one.

Not sure if OSU will move the ball an inch on Bama. The only play they had Saturday was the QB draw and Saban is not going to let them hit that all day like they did against Michigan. The OSU QB has regressed as a passer and looked bad.

Any scenario that leaves Michigan on the outside of the playoffs is fine with me.........That being said, I don't see anyone beating Alabama because their defense is so strong.

The committee has ALREADY PICKED OSU. They were ranked #2, beat the team ranked #3. They certainly are not falling out of the top four, even if PSU beats Wiscy by 100..

Agreed. Penn State's QB is a much better passer than Barrett. Ohio State has become one-dimensional.
