He ripped Danny Kanell on ESPN and his FSU roots. He said I realize you went to FSU where there were no rules. It was classic. They were discussing Pat Hadens handling of Sarkesian.

If you're really a Notre Dame fan, you probably don't want to be pimpin Finebaum. All he does is slobber all over the SEC.

Kanell is obviously a homer. He is Nole to the bone. But he is also a voice of reason within the SEC dominated culture of ESPN.

Are you familiar with any of Finebaum's books?

I saw that. It was priceless!!! Kanell was speechless.

Finebaum is doing his job. That is what ESPN hired him for...SEC all day everyday. Kanell is good on radio and doesn't seem to be a huge homer. He is open about his failures at times at FSU and the NFL. I heard a great interview with him and Bowden I think yesterday on the radio. Very entertaining.

Kanell is the voice of reason? He justified the Sark episode by saying all coaches do it. On a side note, PTI justified Sark by saying students drink and get drunk all the time. I expect nothing from ESPN and they usually come through with nothing. Schilling is dismissed and Chris Carter gets nothing. They spent a whole week promoting a hardcore rap group that recorded such heartwarming gems as "F...... The Police". And lest we forget the ESPYs. I could care less how USC handles it's own mess. It's their business. But, Finebaum is correct on this one.

Finebaum feeds off insanity. I don't listen to him on a regular basis just because of how bad he is but he can provide some random moments of entertainment, usually when he is at peak levels of insanity. Kinda like ESPN'S own Argus.

We'd all be better off not watching a minute of ESPN. Perhaps they'd get the message but these guys are all clowns paid to pimp their Region/affiliation.

In the bits I've seen of college football coverage over the last month I've heard one positive remark from an espn talking head when it came to ND. The majority of it is nasty and negative talk about ND when they're brought up. When it comes to Ohio $tate the gushing and can do no wrong is vomitational. If ND went 12-0 or 11-1 they'd be screwed. No way will espn allow ND in. They are waiting for that moment to leave them out and force them into a conference.

I, finally, like may others have given up on E$(ec)PN. I will watch the games that they show, but I am done with anything other than that. I think CBS sports has a pretty decent college football show.

Finebaum is a jerk, but that does not diminish the fact that FSU is the most corrupt program in the history of the sport and Jumbo may be a bigger scumbag than Bowden if that is possible.

"Inside College Football" is pretty good. They don't seem to take themselves too seriously. Aaron Taylor had a nice little one on one with MZ last night. Good stuff.

That's interesting.

A couple of years ago I called into PF's show right after an interview with D Looney who is an FSU graduate, about weather he was going to write a book about the issues at FSU and PF said that was a typical ND fan and the FSU was a fine University.

I guess he evolved.
