The level of speed and athleticism these guys play at is just different and it's at every postion.
Just different huh?

I guess Vandy didn't get that brilliant memo from you

Told you there was a lot of bad defense

40 points to Vandy 🤣🤣

This new coach ain't saban; he never lost these kinds of games to loser programs

On the other hand, that Ryan Williams is insane
ESPN NCAA front page has his sideline catch
the body control and awareness is unread for a kid only 17
I will flat out say that the vast majority of professional wrs are not that good

Off the top of my head

Schrauth
Craig
Jagusah
Flanagan
Payne
Prescod

Rubio
Botelho
Kia
Mickey
Tucker
Gray
Johnson
Bennie Powell

Faison Traore and Morrison both got hurt. Faison didn't return. Either did Traore

We know Evans, Cross are banged up

Am I missing anyone ?

I don't get your point there was several upsets this week (it happens) so you're going around telling everybody "I told you so" for some reason?

Looks like you’re missing 6, I count 14.

And let’s get real, we’re not “missing” Johnson, Kia, Bennie Powell.
Who said we're "missing them".

We're down around 20 guys. Some of our top players, some starters and some depth pieces

We are nowhere near full strength like what I said and what the point was

Did you not understand that? And are you saying we are close to whole and at our best with those players out?

You said they were so great and we weren't at their level and they'd take us to the woodshed. You also mention the schedules a lot

It was a rough day for your teams that would take us to the woodshed

🤣🤣

Your point was we would have a chance if full strength and railed off a bunch of dudes that have 0 impact on our chances against UGA/Bama:

Payne (arguable, you’re not a big fan, I am but doesn’t increase our chances to beat UGA)
Prescod
Kia
Mickey
Tucker
Johnson
Bennie Powell
Rubio (never expected him back)

Point still stands. We have a lot of good players out. Top players And a lot of depth players

You put 3 players in there that would be factors, Rubio (expect him back next week) Mickey and Payne

You didn't mention Jagusah Craig Schrauth Flanagan Botelho Traore Gray and the 3 above thats 10 impact players. Then after they go down those depth players would now be factors

If we had all that, we would absolutely have a chance against Ga/Bama

These are not impact players. They are players on the two deep in many cases and some are first teamers but none of them are established star players at the top of the sport which is how I would categorize an impact player

Alabama has a roster full of some of the best prospects in the game up and down there two deep

The roster is in another tier of quality all together. Have you not seen the quality of their prospects in relation to Notre Dame's in the team talent composite?

Jagusah Craig and Schrauth are all starting OL and our best 3 to start the year. And you say not impact. Shut the hell up

Botelho and Traore are our 2 best pass rushers. Again shut the hell up.

Alabama got beat by Vanderbilt. We would have a solid chance to beat them

We got beat by NIU does that mean that a bunch of Mac teams have a solid chance against us? No of course not we would smoke the Mack 99 times out of 100

And when you said "our best" you are on to something.

In relation to Notre Dame's roster those guys are some of our best players but in relation to the entire country they are good players not great players and certainly not the best players.

With all of those players healthy Notre Dame would have a better chance against Alabama but Alabama is still in another league of quality of program entirely

But you don't need to take my word for it we have tons of resources and tools that capture this and they all have Alabama way out ahead/in front of Notre Dame. Plus we have the last 20 plus years of performance/track record to go off of and Notre Dame hasn't been competitive against Alabama caliber programs over that time.

ND has been completely outclassed and dominated by Alabama quality programs and nothing materially has changed/improved over the last 20 years: ND is as far behind the tier 1 today as they were back at the start of the Brian Kelly era

To add....

You are reading way too much into a single loss against Vandy.

What Alabama has done over the last 12 months 24 months etc carries way more weight/says way more about Alabama than how they performed against Vanderbilt in a single game last week

They are not on another league.

You have this mindset that Alabama is Bama of 09 thru 20. They are not. They don't have that same talent they did then. There is more parity in cfb right now than has been in over 15 years

Saban isn't there. Their talent has dropped some from the past. They lost to Vandy. They struggled first 3 quarters against USF.

You are stuck in the past Saban years and you can't wrap your head around the fact they just aren't as talented. Their defense can be had. Their rbs are solid but not elite. They only have 1 top wr

They are a very good team but not close to their past great teams. They have come back to the pack and can be beat by teams like Notre Dame

Bama from '09-'20 might be the greatest 11-year run in the entire history of the sport. You can't hold up ANY program to that level. They don't have to be THAT good to still dominate the sport.

Regardless, they recruited the #1 class in the country this past cycle, are #1 in team talent composite (85-man roster), and just beat the former 2024 #1 team in the country last week.

They have 17 five-star players on their roster to Notre Dame's 1 five-star player (and they have MANY more top 100 players than ND).

In what world is Notre Dame competing with that in 2024 in any remote way? Alabama accomplished something greater in 1 weekend in 2024 (last week vs Georgia) than what Notre Dame has accomplished in the last 30+ years combined

I dont care what their rankings were. I see it on the field. Their defense isn't as good as it used to be. Their rbs aren't as good as ours. They used to have 3 stud nfl backs on the roster. Ours are better. And they have 1 wr who scares you.

They are a very good team. They are not a juggernaut anymore. They can be had. I would favor Bama if we played

But I would not be worried about being blowed out like I used to be. And I never thought we had a realistic chance of winning. We would now.

You could hide in terror from the past but just watch the games

So now Vandy beat Bama and South Carolina takes them down to the last play but you want to keep saying they are in a different league

Nah, they aren't. They are not the same dominant team. They can be beat by even mediocre teams.

We can no doubt play with Bama this year
