They got 10 transfer portal commits with an average 91.60 transfer portal player rating which is significantly higher than anybody else. They are not merely reinforcing their roster with the transfer portal they are using it to mine for star talent. It's interesting to see teams like Texas Tech, Miami (who is doing exceptionally well) and LSU at the top of these rankings as well.

Bellicheck has signed a mind blowing 32 players from the transfer portal at North Carolina and is in the top 10. Lane Kiffin has signed a whopping 28 players and is in the top 5 in these rankings after producing a top 3 overall F+ rating in the country last year. Interesting.

ND is ranked 57th, with an average 87.xx rating, with 8 incoming transfers so far, with Malachi Fields (WR) and Devonta Smith (S) headlining the group as 4 star transfer portal players (the other 6 are 3 star).

So what you're stating is Notre Dame is crushing it on the recruiting trail and retaining the recruits they sign out of HS. Thanks!!
Oregon has 10 incoming transfers to NDs 8 incoming transfers. Oregon has a 5 star guy incoming and several high 4 star guys as well. Oregon's average transfer portal player rating is 91.60, NDs is 87.xx

Disclaimer: The reason why the per player average is cited here and not in regards to the traditional recruiting class rankings is due to the sheer size difference/volume of players taken between teams in the team portal rankings vs that of the traditional HS recruiting class rankings.

Also worth mentioning, these transfer portal team & player rankings are a relatively new feature, and nowhere near as established or funded as the traditional yearly recruiting class rankings and im not sure how much weight to put on them or their accuracy at this point. More just some fun information to compare and contrast programs and keep an eye on.

and in the end those differences are meaningless since our species cannot be measured thoroughly by numbers.

That is something you will never be able to cope with.
according to all you have spouted over the years, Notre Dame should never have had a chance against Ohio State. Yet we came within one drive of pushing to overtime.

You cannot deal with that and thus fall back on numbers that will never tell the whole story.

I love the fact that you will eternally be frustrated and disappointed.

ND killed it last year in the portal. We would not have made it to the natty without our transfers. This year, Fields is projected to be a second round pick next year at WR (a position of real need for the Irish). It is a delicate process. You want to fill holes but you don't want to piss off current ND players or lose the team... And we have a great example of that:

Florida State (ranked #7 in transfers for 2024) with nearly 89.35 average last year with 10 transfers. And they were one of the worst teams in college football!!!!! One of the worst turnarounds I've ever seen happen to a solid program! Old Miss (success for Old Miss) and Bama (failure for Bama) were #1 & #2

Couldn't be happier what Marcus is doing in the portal for ND.

Freeman uses the portal for icing on the cake, which i completely agree with. It's been very effective for us.

Oregon...... clearly they have massive Nike resources. So far it hasn't really amount to anything. We went farther than them last year and we're much closer to ohio state in the playoffs than them. Yes they beat ohio at home, but I think we could have beat ohio at home if healthy as well.

Who cares, it takes more than money to get over the hump. Let them spend spend spend like texas A&M and still lose to culture, tradition, discipline, teamwork.

Why do you constantly create threads that paint Notre Dame in a negative light ?

So you don’t know the answer, you were just posturing !
He wants Notre Dame to turn into the football factories, aka Alabama, Ohio Stare, etc.

He dismisses the academic requirements and curriculum as a crutch used by the fans, alumni to excuse the lack of championships over the past 3-4 decades.

He believes Notre Dame is profiting billions from football and isn't willing to open up the purse strings to buy elite athletes so they can win multiple championships and become the next dynasty.

Any counter arguments to the above even with proof, he scoffs at and doesn't believe true.

You can't fix stupid or as Forest Gump said, stupid is as stupid does.

Nike is also funding puberty blockers for child athletes. So if you are going to Oregon and getting NIL money, you’re probably going to hell
