Not to make things worse, but..,,

Uh ya it was 14-7 ND in the second half. The last play gets all the attention because of the 10 man blunder but it shouldn’t. The game was lost on numerous plays before then, 3rd/19 being the biggest in my opinion.
Exactly right ! That play was the dagger not the 1-yard plunge on the final play. There was also a 4th and 7 and a 3rd and 10 that they converted on that final drive. I still want to vomit whenever I think of that last drive.

Game was lost on the stupid screen pass.

Drain all their TO's and make them go the length of the field without them.

The TO they saved with the incompletion allowed 10 seconds not to run off the clock on the Grounding call.

There would have been 5 seconds to play and they have to throw one in the end zone.

I loved the call. IMO, nothing "stupid..." about it.

One of my analytical colleagues said that Freeman screwed up by calling timeout on anOSU 3rd down. That enabled them to call two plays in advance. He said MF should have done the Belichek vs the Sea Hawks and made them panic call the play.

Agreed. We should've just run Estime 3 straight plays and then punted - if that was even necessary, which it may not have been, the way he was running.

But overall, I thought Parker called a good game, until that final series.

The screen pass IMO was a great call in the situation. It was set up beautifully. The Ohio St. kid simply made a great play.

Three straight runs? No thanks.

All we needed was to run clock and get one more first down. And Estime had just run for 11 yards on the play before that series. So I think that would've been the best way to go there. But, it's over now. I'd rather focus on Duke.

Why not ?

You eat the clock and you might have gotten a first down.

The 5 yard penalty on the punt seems to be forgotten
